  1. The Saudi Arabia Gold One Guinea Coins were only minted in 1950 and 1957, I think your coin is a modern reproduction of the coin and could still be 22-carat gold a bit like the jeweler's copies of sovereigns from the middle east some times with 22 stamped on them. The reason I think this is your coin looks to weakly struck and very soft detail with no obvious signs of wear. I hope you get to the bottom of the mystery and look forward to what you find out

Its not my field of expertise and i wish you the best with them , But with the premium you guys are paying i personally   would be disappointed with the striking and finish.

If I can get 62 I will be extremely pleased. But pics can disguise anything. I really wanted it at £700 lol and £1200 is a lot to pay for a potential problem coin.

I think if the coin is as good as the pictures and is genuine, I think it was a great buy  @Numistacker and would go as far as saying you got it at a good price, I think in the future only top end sovereigns will increase in value and coins that are not quite perfect will lose value. As with stamps, coin collecting is now falling out of fashion, only top grades will increase in value. I really look forward to watching the story of this coin, As I'm sure you will send it for grading. I hope its a winner for you.

Why would you sell this stuff so cheaply? Even with toning it makes no sense at all to give stuff away.

    Hi Numistacker

I got these coins in a bulk  job lot of brits  i brought a couple of years ago and was pleasantly surprised to find  some of the coins were proofs.

I have made my money back on the coins and more so i am happy , So what you call no sense, I call offering some one a good deal and the coins will find a home were they are appreciated.

But i am sorry if my deals have offended you in any way, But in the future could you please do one of the following three-

1  PM me if you think i am doing something that makes no sense

    2  Buy the bloody thing

3 Maybe make a YouTube video and i could receive royalties

There was going to be four options but i am to polite     :D

  8. looking at the sovs they all look great conditon but not knowing all the dates, if you swapped 20 bullion sovereigns i would say you had a steal

Steve would love to see some more pics, just to make me turn a bit more green with envy

  9. Hi HT

Nice find, its a proof as were all the 1927 wreath crown Mintage 15030 as they were all issued in box sets the first year. The coin has some staining  i would say  VF grade but very hard to say just using photos value around £100-£140 pepole have to be careful, as the wreath crowns are highly forged,  cant see to clearly on the pic but does yours have K.G. between the rose and the W in the word crown on the reverse?
