Just had Yorkshire Bullion ring me up asking about two previous coins they sent me by accident. They're chasing up for payment, which I agreed to pay at the time. Instead of sending anymore money I told them to not send out the 2oz dragon & send out some capsules to make up the difference in price.

Apparently they sent out a duplicate eleven one ounce coin order to another customer and tried to contact him about it without any luck. There are nine other customers who had duplicate orders sent out that they're chasing up and are looking at going to the small claims court to get them back or payment for them.

They said I was invoiced for the coins and expected me to pay up when I received it but I never had any invoices sent to my email address, all down to them changing their server recently.

I guess all the other customers will plead ignorance.

Wow... that's some customer service!  Another one to avoid, it appears.  Make a mistake and then try to sue the customer who had zero involvement in the mistake.  Wow.

    2012 half proof sovereign

    PR69

bought it of ebay but might have to send it back

    bottom right diffrent colour

    what do you think ?

I can somewhat see what you're referring to.

Was it a business, or a private seller?  Difficult if it's a private seller, as the coin is graded and therefore is 'as sold', and presumably sold as seen.  The seller will argue that the coin is still PR69, and that nothing has changed with it since grading.

If it's a business seller, you have 14 days so it shouldn't be a problem.

You really can't see the part i wrote in English at the start, just before the German text, you must need glasses, so here it is again just for you, only a little bigger this time for the sight impaired my apologies that i gave a short version of the German text

found a little info on the 2016 coin, basically it's saying the BU is unlimited and that the proof version has a 1000 mintage, will dig around and see if i can find any other info on the 2008

Why are the majority of your posts on this forum so passive-aggressive, boastful, or just downright rude?

You won't win many friends treating people so abrasively, and it may well have an impact should you come to buy or sell silver to the forum members.

once again gold going through the floor, will be sub 1000 by the weekend.

What makes you say sub-£1k by the weekend?

The markets have realised that a Trump presidency isn't the apocalypse that the media predicted - the price is still settling.

I'm looking to buy them for £20 each and I put it in the silver bit cos it will get more views

Kew Gardens is going for £40-£55 at the moment, and an undated 20p is no less than £50 any day of the week.  I think you might need to up your budget slightly!

Check the Facebook group called 'English coins for sale and wanted' - you will find what you are looking for :)

I think Clens has said not once but twice, that the price includes postage.

You'll need to get used to the terminology used by stackers on this forum, when someone says "£43.50 landed". That means the price INCLUDES postage costs. ie landed in the UK from abroad.

However, Clens has not received it yet, hence the comment that it may cost more if customs spot it. If they do, then Royal Mail of whoever, will charge an £8 customs fee charge, and a 20% VAT charge, which Clens will have to pay before it will be delivered, hence his comment that it may become an more expensive coin.

I hope this clears any confusion you may have about the coin.

    Much obliged, Sir!

How much did it cost altogether including postage

£43.50 :)  A very kind chap in the States put in a bulk-order and then split them for those of us in the UK.

It's the first 'round' (non-monetised coin) that I've bought - the detailing looks fantastic, and the Knights Templar is always going to attract interest, so I think it'll hold its value well.

    Cheers for the reply

what would you say is a good price to pay for them now?

As close to spot as possible - as always :P  I can't say I follow the prices of 1/10th pieces closely, but I do know that the premiums are healthy.  I'd suggest checking ebay sold listings for an idea of current market values.

  9. Great resale value - always a hefty premium above spot for 1/10 coins.

Obviously, it depends on what price you can purchase them at... But I have dozens of people who would snap my hand off for 1/10ths - you can't really go wrong with them

Unless Osborne says him and the Bank of England are going to throw in a ton of money?

If it goes crazy tomorrow I may just trade my gold queens beasts coins lol

I susect that there will have already been some high-level support of Sterling.  Whether he will announce it or not is another matter, as that might be seen as a sign of panic - that the Bank is fighting to keep the exchange rate stable.  Far better to let the 'plebs' believe that the markets are accepting it without too much drama.

I think he'll try to focus on Tata Steel - a good news story, to distract from the big market shifts.

As an aside... Hatton Garden Metals have just sold out of all their 3% premium gold...

    £31.76 - £988.06

1oz gold coins currently over £1000 at dealers.. dang

Will we get to £1000 per oz spot today?

I would be very, very surprised if we don't hit £1010/oz at some point today.  BoJo's statement about his Brexit-vision will do little to settle people's nerves - calling for the UK to basically remain in the EEA will not sit well with Leavers and damage his leadership chances.

The Corbyn affair continues to add to uncertainty in the UK.

I beleieve the Chancellor is set to make a statement Monday morning - this may be too little, too late; he must be expecting to resign soon... If he goes tomorrow, the markets will go loopy.  Hopefully it's just a statement of reassurance that calms the stock market.

Pound to fall against the dollar.  Gold to rise in GBP for the next 12 hours.
