It's OK, I'll just be on my jack jones in December, talking to myself in the echo chamber
No you won’t - I will still be here, even though I have already bought something, you know my type - I will have changed my mind about six times before December 😎

A big thank you to @silversky for this beautiful 10oz Perth Mint Year of the Monkey. I think that this 2016 is possibly the prettiest of all the Chinese Zodiac range and she joins her little 1oz sister 🐵🐵.

I have said this before but….in March 2012 gold Brits were £1103. In Jan 2016 they were £792 and then in July 2016 they had risen to £1099.
The fall to £792 is approximately 41%.
It was fairly depressing watching that fall, but we just had to shrug and suck it up. But it did go back fairly quickly 🌞

This is a gem of coin with a nice potential. If you don't like it as coin, the pure gold star can be easily pushed out by jeweller and make a beautiful pendant!
Just sayin'...😊
It is beautiful - you are being the tempter again 🌞

Son/daughter smoke pot one evening, neighbours complain of the odour and the police get a search warrant - during the execution of which they find gold coins and question the source of the funding of that gold. Gold, cash, cars etc. seized, bank accounts frozen, as potential proceeds of illicit activities - and you're left with having to demonstrate/prove otherwise, made worse by forensic trace evidence of pot having recently been present in the property.
A number of years back when HMRC were outsourcing investigations I was investigated, all turned out fine but the process was protracted and stressful, having to find all sorts of obscure paperwork for things that seemed to me to be totally irrelevant - within very tight timescales. Never found out why I was targeted, believe that they just scanned for less common tax reporting cases and randomly picked individual individual cases out of that to progress a fuller investigation. I believe they were rewarded on a prosecution percentage type basis so were most eager to find something/anything wrong.
Only people who have undergone an investigation will understand.
I understand - it changes one’s outlook for ever.
I cannot imagine what an investigation would be like if one had actually committed fraud. 🖖

Well, I had my display name changed from SilverGlutton (which was just plain ugly) to
SilverToday which I find more suitable for all of us lol. Anyhow, a few days back I bought
a 2024 proof-like 1/10oz Gold Niue Phoenix Coin that I showcased here at TSF and I really liked the
design but ohhh so hard to see well enough so I decided to buy the 1oz Gold version which I received yesterday.
Of coarse everyone's coins in their stack/collection look much better in hand and so does this 1oz Gold Niue lol.
I can't say enough of just how attractive this proof-like 2024 1oz Gold Niue Phoenix Coin with frosted relief really is.
Truly remarkable imo. And the fact it's production was limited to only 10k pieces makes it even sweeter.
Compared to the pix below the Gold color is much more pronounced in hand.
A stunning design both the Phoenix and the background.
Your name? Much better and I didn’t even realise that we could change them!! 🌞

Got this last week 2017 Jersey Platinum Proof five pound, put a picture with the Platinum one pound which is the same size as a Sovereign for comparison £1 = 7.98g and the £5= 39.94g so same ratio with regards to sovereign and quintuple.
The mix is different with these being 995
Love the QEII and Philip Obverse.
I love to see unusual coins.
The images of the Queen and Prince Phillip are probably the nicest of any that I have seen 🌞
