YAY!, mines on the way too, single sov. Most stuff seems to take a month to ship to NZ so I've got to try and forget about it. Tracking doesn't tell you anything once it leaves the UK so no point in the hourly checks! Looking forward to seeing more pics, sans grainy frosting?!

I think this qualifies. On first glance of the obverse, it is a raggedy, low grade standard George III halfpenny but on closer inspection of the reverse...you notice it becomes a pre-federal American halfpenny minted for the Virginia Colony. 😋
I will certainly aim to upgrade this in the future but being a Brit with an American father from Virginia, I was very eager to acquire one of these asap!

Stephen (1135-1154) 'Watford' Cross Moline - Penny. Stunning portrait.

 
Henry II (1154-1189) 'Tealby' Cross Crosslets - Penny.

 
John (1199-1216) Short Cross Penny.

 
Henry IV (1399-1413) Half Groat - clipped.

 
I can't claim for the quality of the photos as they are the seller's, which are way better than mine, since mine always look awful.
As you can see I'm going for one of each monarch - a foolhardy task really. It's not so much about going for rare or most valuable, but going for the clearest and strongest portrait I can get with the money I've got.
I keep getting waylaid though as I keep purchasing Stephen pennies.

V happy with their service, low buyer's premium, fast efficient delivery, low shipping cost. NZ customs can be very random so I like the customs declaration the Coin Cabinet put on the label "Collectable Token GBP20"! Technically I should have been charged GST (VAT) as it's 22k gold but avoided this extra hassle because of the label. I'm GST registered so not a biggy when they do get caught in the net! 

1866 VIC OZ SOV – Arrived today from Stacks Bowers after 34 days in transit! Filling out my collection of Victoria heads, like this one because it actually says what it is 'One Sovereign' is it the only one?
Do I de-slab it? 606 in higher grade, 378 lower, across PCGS and NGC, she's looking for an excuse to break free! What do you think?

These are my early Sovereigns…..The best of these is actually the WIV 1932 first bust - Marsh 17A (R3) where the nose points at the 2nd N 😋
 
 

As a dealer trying ti work out just what RM are trying to do to the market?
Of all the coins / sets we have seen for Charles so far, I think the 5 coin set is the one to have here if you can stretch to it. Nearly 6k is a lot to part with in up to 3 months in advance, its killed the order then flip market, but once they are actually in peoples hands these will go up in value. It also has history on its side, no other different reverse set is available today for anything close to its launch price.
Another coin I like is the 2oz Gold Memorial £200, issue limit 650, but not sold out and these will be withdrawn on 31/12 so we could well see a significantly reduced final number. 
Get ready for the Coronation releases, I have heard they maybe issuing an upside down set as well 🤣
