The RM have trained me to be disappointed when there is no queue at 8.45 on a Monday - they’ve completed their Pavlovian experiments on us

got a feeling these will do OK - if there are usual minting issues with RM (low % getting PF70s)
You can see the quality & stunning design on the Alderney when in hand.
Hopefully our money is safe in them

    RM website:
    “8th February 1928 - Television goes transatlantic”
So later today is the appropriate anniversary date to release the John Logie Baird 50p coins.
Still hoping for the Graces though!

how many will filter onto the market for resale/flipped im not sure.  Initially my thought was make a couple of quid and it will go towards the RM issue or make it lower.  However once in hand you appreciate just how nice it is.  I can see that once it is in a collection many other items would be sold before this. ie a keeper for years to come.  and in PF70DCAM kept in a perfect state

The mintage of 500 is small for todays standard
If it is not confirmed to be fixed at 500 this is great for anyone who owns or decide to buy a set of the Gold Three Graces
The Alderney Una & Lion was much higher i believe ? was it 2000 mintage on each coin??
So if there are 3/4 less of these they should hopefully be in demand in the collector market
I know it is still yet to be confirmed but we don't know what size Three Graces gold are coming out from Royal Mint
If the 2oz gold is the smallest, this loses a great deal of folk who cant afford even the list price RRP £4400+ >
With these they can still get a gold Three Graces in gold but in smaller sizes in 1/4 1/2 or full sovereign
Will probably work out best to break up the sets and grade individually i think

    Hello Paul
I am sure you will be happy to see your beautiful Una, sitting next to the Three Graces !
I also hope to be lucky enough getting it, and be inspired to make some beautiful pictures of them side by side

No, and I don't feel comfortable to ship it !  As I live in France, I could eventually go to Paris and grade it with  PCGS

Paul reacted to ChrisSilver in Declaring the condition of your item/coin for sale
The below is not a forum rule but simply a recommendation for sellers.

A seller of a coin (or other item) will have a much better idea of the condition and imperfections of the item, than the buyer has. Of course this is only logical as the seller has the item and the buyer hasn't seen it in person.

When I myself sell, I try to list every imperfection on the coin. Sure, this likely will put some people off from purchasing but I believe that it is important to be 100% honest. I also understand how it is from a buyers point of view. As a buyer, I (probably wrongly) assume that most sellers are like me and therefore if I see that there is no comment about the condition, I presume the condition is very good or at least good (in my opinion.) When however, an item arrives and there are issues or imperfections on the coin (or other item) it is saddening, but often not worth complaining over. I would however be cautious of that seller in the future.

In my opinion, telling the condition of a coin from a photograph is hard. Some members are exceptional at studying photos and picking up details, but I personally find looking at a static image quite difficult to ascertain the real condition of a coin. Often a photo will look like there are some imperfections on an item but the actual item looks perfect in real life, and vice versa.

Though the buyer also has a responsibility to ask the condition, as a seller you know more about the condition of the item. To avoid any issues and to keep the forum trade section transparent and honest we strongly recommend for sellers to disclose the condition of their item. i.e. mentioning any imperfections, spots, milk spotting, lint inside the capsule, damage to the capsule etc.

Of course, a seller can not state what grade the coin is (unless it is graded.) Those looking for absolutely perfect examples in their collection may want to consider graded coins. But a seller can state if their are any imperfections.

I already see a large number of members who always list every small detail about their item and I would like to say thank you for doing this 😊

£2700/2900 seems to be the sweet spot for these PF69
    £1600/1800 for a PF68
I am curious to see if the frenzies will be reinforced after the Three Graces are out
I have 4 silver PF69 coming back from grading and I am curious to see where goes the trend ...As a happy owner, to sell or not to sell...that's the question
