I have always wanted to do this, but I know deep down the Cartel would drop a £1,000,000,000,000,000 contract on our arses and claim it was legitmate. The systems rigged folks, the games tilled in the cartels favour and we arent in the club. We are pawns and they (cartel) have conditioned the lower classes (working and middle class) to obey, work and believe in these gangsters. Its a crime against humanity, all of it yet too many people think the cartel operates for them. Its a complete clown world.

I wont and Im serious now. i have lots of laughs on here, becuase life is too short. regardless of our bet, I will honour it - we are made of the same thing, space dust, 95% carbon and water. Diamonds - human diamonds, we all know, something is wrong in the world. Emotional circumstances in monetary value is nothing, when there is millions of traders exploiting it, but you have to ask yourself, who runs the show? You already know that. You own metals. Thats the best step or we all would not be in this game .

Grear design, under appreciated by collectors.

I am very taken with the original Britannia figure by Phillip Nathan, the classic, standing one with billowy robes. I think that it is a wonderful and rather lovely creation, and much better than some of the rather 'butch' female figures that appear on coins (exception made for 'Vreneli' on the Swiss 20 francs gold coin). I prefer it to the other modern versions of Britannia, though they may be rarer.  So, today I phoned him up to congratulate him on his achievement. (He has a small website with his other designs on display, all excellent in their different ways as it seems to me.) I think he was pleased, if a little surprised. He was very modest and said it was all a long time ago, which is true enough i.e. 1987 for the first actual coin. I asked if he had used a model for the figure, but he said that it was entirely his own imagining. I would guess from his voice that, like me, he is the wrong side of 70. We did not talk for long, especially as I had managed  to mistime my call for what was probably his lunch break. Talking to him in person adds a dimension to my necessarily very modest collection of the one ounce gold Britannias. Incidentally, I prefer the pre-2021 coins (especially the ones after 2015 with the new royal head) as I feel that the new security feature of a lock/trident fork detracts from the overall aesthetic appeal and may even be something of a gimmick since I have never heard of fake gold Britannias.

When you say the 'Philip Nathan Britannia', I believe you are referring to the original 1987 design which I agree is wonderful but for the benefit of other members, may I respectfully refer you to his other designs which , personally, I think are equals, the 1997 superlative.

Why some of you want to take these coins out of their lovely display boxes and stick them in a bit of plastic is beyond me.
Can't you just leave them in their original state, never knowing or really caring if they are PF69 or PF70

Very pleasing.  If you want a laugh, just go back a week or two and see what investment banks were predicting.  Most amusing in some instances.

Ignoring leverage is correct. They are comparing the amount YOU invested and don't include any amount borrowed to invest. You can gear any investment not just property by means of loans, use of spread-bets etc. The only sensible way is to treat them equal  and ignore all forms of gearing in the comparison.

I started collecting silver purely as an investment. Purely getting the most volume for the best price. Not interested in designs at all as it’s purpose is purely to protect wealth. 
 
That was then. 
 
Now I find it more appealing to collect “sets” and limited runs irrespective of price, which as you can imagine causes quite a conflict of interest between my brain and my bank account!
