Whether you choose to believe that the silver market is 'manipulated' versus 'regulated' is your choice. But even in regulation, you have the notion that the market is not actually free to discover true price. For if something were to be unregulated, the price may become volatile and susceptible to the market's supply and demand mechanism. So whether your stance on the silver market is that it is unfairly 'manipulated' versus justly 'regulated' is irrelevant. The truth is, it's not under your personal control, it shouldn't be under your personal control, and it shouldn't be under anyone's personal control. The only controlling force should be the free markets and if we truly had free markets, silver would not be lagging the way it has been for decades.
I urge all who read this, spread it like wildfire. The free markets are the people, the consumers, the end users of the physical! Not paper pushers!
Some have said that the silver market has been leveraged to the sum of 250 paper ounces of silver to 1 physical ounce of silver. Is this true? Do we have proof of this? Who can supply the truth behind this? We can! We don't need to research what large companies have paper interests to discover whether or not the silver market is rigged. We can find out much easier than digging through article after article to see who's got their hands in the silver market through paper contracts. We can do like the Hunt brothers did in the 1970s up to 1980, we can buy silver and we can buy a $h!t ton of it! The Hunt brothers worked to accumulate around 100 million Troy ounces of silver and this caused the price to rise from $11 (USD) per ounce in September 1979 to $50 (USD) per ounce by January 1980. Two men bought 100 million Troy ounces.
I'm not seeking two men willing to buy 100 million ounces. I'm seeking anyone willing to buy a single ounce, 5 ounces, 10 ounces or more. Whatever you can afford to buy responsibly, buy it. Give a gift this Christmas to someone in your family who has never felt the weight of a 1 ounce silver coin. Buy an ounce of silver for yourself to add to your stack. Discuss silver with an interested party who has never made the leap into the physical bullion market. You learn a lot about people by listening and having simple conversation. Is this feat possible? Can we as a community buy 100 million Troy ounces of silver this holiday season? Sure we can.
1 person buys 100 million Troy ounces = $2,480,000,000 (USD)
10 people buy 10 million Troy ounces = $248,000,000 (USD) each
100 people buy 1 million Troy ounces = $24,800,000 (USD) each
1,000 people buy 100 thousand Troy ounces = $2,480,000 (USD) each
10,000 people buy 10 thousand Troy ounces = $248,000 (USD) each
100,000 people buy 1 thousand Troy ounces = $24,800 (USD) each
1,000,000 people buy 1 hundred Troy ounces = $2,480 (USD) each
10,000,000 people buy 10 Troy ounces = $248 (USD) each
100,000,000 people buy 1 Troy ounce = $24.80 (USD) each
Think 100,000,000 people buying one single ounce of silver is not feasible? How about 10,000,000 people buying 10 Troy ounces? I know the perfect 16,378 people to get this fire going...

At least you have substantial gold & silver assets in the ground unlike the UK.
In 1999 that cretin Gordon I saved the world Brown sold more than half the UK's gold reserves at $250 per oz which was near a record low lol.

I’m not too sure who on this forum knows the gold status of the European countries, Canada, the USA, etc…, but it’s worthwhile to know where your country stands on gold holdings.
In Canada, aside from gold that we are pulling out of the ground and selling to other countries or private citizens through bullion, we actually have zero gold in reserve. Our nut of a leader sold it all in 2016 when gold was near one of its low points.
Essentially, we are fully on a fiat currency with no gold or silver to back up anything. Really surprised our nation hasn’t collapsed yet due to it. Maybe just a matter of time.

Unfortunately we both know the answer, theyve fallen into the trap of forever printting money the BoE did it then went broke after WWII and so the US stepped it and now its close to thier end game, only becuase they USED to have more gold until Nixon revoked it after JFK was killed. I support our forces US and UK - but what i dont support is poor western foriegn policy based on fiat ponzi scheme thats going to collapse. JFK  did his best to bring back a gold standard but got killed. His speech challenged it and the banksters and elite were having none of it. He was whacked off. Listen very carefully!

Simply stated, just about every country that once used silver in their circulating coinage stopped doing so around the time of the 1960s or prior. The U.K. ceased using silver in their circulating coinage shortly after WWII, the U.S.A. ceased after 1964, and Canada ceased after 1967.
I recently stumbled upon this visual and found it to be eye opening…

In true fashion, The Privateer series with 7 rounds representing the 7 seas. This series is done in 2 ounce Ultra High Relief. Pictures cannot capture the true depth of each coin. Here is the first coin in the series and what most consider as the most desirable in the set. I disagree, but I do love this one a lot.

Ok! Now I can see the difference. Clearly you can see the frosty appearance of this versus the coin from the original post. The lettering and holder itself I guess would have to be compared to a genuine holder for someone like myself to notice it. I had heard about genuine coins in fake holders, but I hadn’t seen the results of one before. Truly a sickening thing to do against the coin collecting community.

I din't get a good chance to study them, as I was busy checking about 100 incoming bullion sovereigns at the time. Our daughter Juliana was looking at the slabs, and she didn't like them. She also knows more about slabs than I do, and we had little time to discuss.
Rather than tampered with, we think they were fake slabs, as mentioned.
We did take more photos, but didn't have time to upload them. If we see them again, we will try to get pro photos.

Junior reacted to Wampum in Genuine USA Silver Dollars in Fake PCGS Slabs
I have seen PCGS where the number is correct and the type of coin is in the holder, however the slab and coin are wrong, they usually use coins that have not been photographed so there is no ref on the PCGS site.THey do still use photographed coin to clone so you still need to check to make sure.
The older Fake PCGS holders don't fit as well with the real ones plus the raised edges are different especially at the corners ,and the hologram, the paper ,ink ,font and barcode can be different (however you have to match it with the same type of PCGS holder)
There have been a lot of fake NGC and PCGS around for the last 15 to 20 years more so American, however as more world coins get slabbed it gives them more coins to clone.
NGC have the same problem however on some of NGC fakes you can tell by the sonic seal and the Type of lettering used which is slightly easier to spot than on the PCGS ones.
Really hate how they destroy a hobby for their own greed.

It was only a matter of time before a 1/8th sovereign came to the game. Here’s a 1 gram gold maple for comparison.
And here’s my country’s new slogan:
Canada… reaping the largest premiums on the smallest coins since 2014.

Junior reacted to LawrenceChard in The World's First Gold One-Eighth Sovereign
My Saturday morning read of the newspaper was rudely interrupted by a large, colour advert for a coin.
I suppose I should have been excited because this was a new gold sovereign, in fact a world's first.
    But...

I instantly knew I was at risk of going blind trying to read the minuscule print, and have to wade through all or most of it to discover which country it was from (or at least in the name of).
I could of course see that as often, the reverse had been cunningly overlaid over the obverse in just the right place to obscure the name of the country. In most of these cases, the obscured legend says "T.D.C.", standing for Tristan da Cunha, which it is in this case.
Also, the price was cunningly hidden away, or almost so.
Turns out to be a special introductory price of £69, plus £4.99 P&P, until 31st December, after which it will be £99.
    Other small details:
    Diameter 11mm.
    Weight 1 gram.
    Purity Solid 22ct gold.
So, the fine gold content = 0.02947149 troy ounces, and the effective price per ounce of fine gold is
    £2341.24 at £69,  £2510.56 inc postage
    £3359.17 at £99, £3528.49 inc postage.
The ofofer is from Hattons of London.
Strict limit of one per household.
I was underwhelmed when the Royal Mint started making quarter sovereigns in 2009, and I am still not a fan, but an 1/8th sovereigns is even more underwhelming.
The only good thing about it in my opinion, is that if the images can be believed, it might actually have some silver in it, making it a better colour than the Royal Mint's UK sovereigns. 😎
