You can't, same as shares, pensions, ISAs, sipps. As bully said above, diversity. Not to sure if my metals would help if the system failed. Witt's and life skills. Now the recovery is when I would be sitting pretty.

Absolutely correct. If the entire system failed life skills would become vital. Only a tiny minority of the uk have such basic skills as map reading, water purification, food cultivation or even knowledge about making a fire.

If covid's taught me one thing toilet paper holds its value rather well.

Lol 😂 it’s a major lesson of the pandemic.

History has proven that gold has stood the test of time regardless of its value, just becuase the sentiment is now crypto becuase people have moved it out of PMs. Diversity is key in investing,

I hope so. I really do. I don’t own crypto yet but on the next dip I’m going to diversify.

    No doubt.

Have you ever asked your friends in the civil service how fiat is created - while simultaneously asking them where the Banks got the money prior to making all loans? The reactions are priceless or they resort to complete denial.

I wouldn’t try asking them they would prob not come back for dinner again 😂

As I replied to another post:

"I think you would find that HMRC will the higher or highest of different methods of valuation. If you wanted to use a lower valuation, then you would need to be prepared for an argument with them.

You might win, but probably not."

    also:

It might help if you had good evidence that you had only paid £2 each for them, which is highly unlikely, but even then I suspect HMRC would use "market value".

I would not try it, and I rather enjoy being dialectic.

B.T.W.: I support Brett's arguments and actions about the right to use legal tender coins in payment of a debt.

There are also wider implications which I have yet to write about.

This is good advice. As usual.

I don't care about UK, I am angry at the EU because this initiative to end VAT free silver from Estonia came from Brussel. EU is behind this.

Ok, Belgian companies charge the same as the European mint why not just switch to them?

Hi, I have also received the email from European Mint.  I am disappointed and angry with the EU. I wish more countries will leave this liberal stupid madness...
Anyway, I wanted to ask you guys, about some ideas on how to obtain VAT free silver as someone from Europe.

Will it be possible to get some VAT free silver shipped from somewhere to a European country?

Or is it possible to go pick up some VAT free silver in some other country and fly back with it to your home European country?

I want a list of countries with VAT free silver and possible options.

Why are you angry with the EU when the UK has always imposed VAT?

It’s funny how you-Paul have flagged items. Yet the description was clearly -face to face pick up! Because of people like you jealous once that can not handle the fact I have these items. You go off messing about on forums! I only started to sell again through eBay as it’s safe and now patents are managed by eBay them self’s. In addition 2 buyers were very happy. If I would have been a dodgy seller I would have been removed by eBay and not have have any high selling limits! Get your facts straight before you taint peoples reputation!

So are you saying your legit or dodgy? I’m confused…
