Has anyone seen any availability to purchase these from UK sites yet? I really can't be bothered to argue with customs about import VAT being wrongly applied if i buy from abroad.

To buy or not to buy...my fingers are itching on the trigger, but hopefully if I wait a little more it would drop further. Having said that, a few quid here or there is not that important on a long term purchase, of course.

Time for another update. The first batch of units has been dispatched from America estimated delivery is apprently Thursday. Will start contacting people in the middle of next week regarding payment and delivery etc. Second batch is going to be dispatched around the end of the month so should be here at the start of March. Appolgise for the delay this is how Sigma describe themselves

    Who cares? Certainly not me.
The way I see it the spot price is meaningless now and no longer has any bearing on reality. It’s nothing more than a smoke and mirrors game played by Wall Street and it's not even worth my time to look at it. The real price, the only number that matters is the price it costs to buy real physical gold or silver that you are able to physically take possession of in the real world. Everything else is just bumf.
Sure keep an eye on the second hand market and compare dealers prices with each other to see who's competitive. But looking at the spot is a total waste of time in my opinion (I still regularly do though but only for entertainment purposes 😄).

    Hi all,
    I hope you're all well.
I'm a new member, and new to stacking also. I found the forum via the Backyard Bullion YouTube channel (which I've also just come across) so I thought I'd sign up. I look forward to getting more involved once I've found my way around. Cheers all!

Depends on what price China / Russia decide to put on gold.
There are 100's of $trillions in the US - some people say there is no gold in Fort Knox.
How much gold in the BoE is actually English? Whatever the amount the answer is very little of the currency could be gold backed.
Where is this gold going to come from? The West has sold nearly all its gold to Asia at bargain prices. The West is bankrupt so couldn't buy the gold even if it wanted to.
To imagine otherwise shows a lack of joined up thinking - gold cannot be printed, it cannot be pulled out of a top hat. Unless there is a secret stash somewhere, the UK doesn't have the gold to back the pound. The currency is a shadow of its former self and once the true Great Reset kicks in GBP will be trash.
This is the very reason people here should be stacking.
Silver will revalue along with gold - the question is what will the gold silver ratio be. Most pundits think it will eventually be much lower - 30? 16? less than that?

If our incompetent evil doing government ever choose (more likely are forced) to revert back to a gold standard then what percent of our currency will be backed by gold? Has any modern country ever been 100% gold backed? And what would this mean for silver, I believe central banks hold a lot of gold but no silver? What effect will this have on the silver price too?

All the rich folks use gold to stash their extra bit of cash away from the tax man. That includes the politicians, lawmakers and..... the bloody tax man himself! I'm hoping that just because of that, they'll leave it alone.

On the contrary, I personally think its excellent, one because I can see you have made a decent return and in 8 years time that should/could be me. I sincerely doubt that would put many if any off tbh.
obviously i wouldn't write this on your sales thread, but a few other reasons that spring to mind first. ( nothing bad in any sense ) just personally that if it were my coin... I'd take it out of the absolutely pointless upside down and heavily marked card, place in a nice capsule and state condition accurately and honestly. Then it will likely sell quickly. Currently it appears a lucky dip unfortunately.

Wonderful news. Up and Up is only a good thing. And for those who are annoyed because it means their targets are going to be hit, think about the long term and not short term. I saw a 1oz coin for sale on the sales threads the other day with the original Bairds invoice - it was under 900.00 GBP for the 1oz coin and it was bought in 2015. I know that gold is a fickle thing, but I really think that NO ONE can tell you where it is going, so you just have to buy when you have the money and maintain faith that it will rise (and hold tight [and continue to buy!] during the falls).
    Cheers!!!

Its called the Comex or know as the commercial exchange..... its the futures or papers market. So basically when Maggie thatcher introduced the free market, there's was thing called futures and derivatives. Basically its a paper exchange a contract or an IOU. So say you wanted to buy 500oz of silver or gold on the COMEX. You pay me the money and I give a you a piece of paper saying you I owe you 500oz, you dont physically hold the metals, then when the price goes up and you sell it back to me and then you take your money and I take the cert back....
But there's a catch too many of these paper contracts around to say that I have these 500oz in my vault, for every piece of silver  there this amount of paper around.... So there's 466 contracts of silver paper to every physical oz in the world.... So when then the financial crash happens people who have these piece of paper contracts - say to the people holding this silver, give me delivery, there's not enough.....
But it gets worse, devaluation of currencies, bond markets credit default swaps, leverage, Pension yields.. Over inflated stocks based on bullsaht.....
Its basically a house of cards.....
