That's a good point, because although the Rocking Horse crown is really well known the designer didn't really do a lot else with the Royal Mint.
You probably would expect that for them to be a great engraver they should have done a few good coins for the RM.

I would entirely agree about Chards keen prices and premiums. For this reason I have happily purchased several times from them. The trouble sometimes, however, is availability. The possibly indefinite wait on 'orderable' coins is a disincentive to purchase, likewise the possible second-hand nature of what may become available,  though it is all clearly and honestly explained by Chards. And I am sure that they would prefer to supply new coins immediately if they had them in stock.

G&D design is my preference as well, good luck trying to get hold of the original 1910 pattern or 1935 gold crowns, I'm sure many collectors wouldn't complain about a RM re-issue of those.
Also I hope they avoid the two coin set approach they took with the gothic crown, I understand it was a coin where both sides were classics but the way they went about it didn't seem very fair on the collectors.

And I also availed myself of Tavex's PredatIntroductory pricing to get a bit of small fractional gold at a much smaller premium than one might normally expect.  The Tavex branded 1g bars are made by Nadir.

Once I can get confirmation that they have, in fact canned VAT on gold, this is destined for Indonesia, where small fractional gold bars are pretty much where it's at. 
Fun fact: Stacking gold is actually the approach to saving recommended in the Quran, and interest bearing savings account are technically usury.  Therefore, it's quite common practice to stack gold there and it effectively functions as a proxy for banking.  The gold industry is actually somewhat regulated there and there is a state owned mining company (P.T. Anneka Tambang) that produces retail gold products for this industry.

Has to be the strangest capsule I own.  The top two pics are the same coin pair, the "Fenrir Geminus", and the third picture is the BU pair.  I wonder if they deliberately timed the release to coincide with the eclipse.

I popped in to the Ashmolean for the first time despite living here for years and was surprised to see a large section on money and some lovely gold coins . Well worth a visit if you're ever I town . 

Hard to take a good picture, so gave up.
