I just can resist these ultra rare 2013 3-coin Strike on the Day sets, already own one but when this came up for sale I simply couldn't resist getting another!
Also another addition to the 1977 collection, a proof $1000 year of the snake proof. Have the bu already so this will go nicely with it. Off for ncs and grading first.

Back in 1989 I remember reading the Sunday Times newspaper and in the colourful magazine section was a Royal Mint advert for the special 500th Anniversary of the Sovereign set. At the time there was no way I could afford even the half sovereign (I think the half sovereign’s initial cost was about £79). The double sovereign’s issue price was about £299, and after over thirty years I have just bought an example of this beautiful coin. I guess that is what you call the impact of marketing!

2014 Silver Proof 1oz Kangaroo in the Outback
This elusive marsupial is the eleventh and penultimate coin of the complete twelve coin set and is the last of the six proofs. It is the rarest member of the dodecad with just 1,000 of the 5,000 limit actually minted. The condition has been been masterfully captured by @CadmiumGreen , beautifully portraying the impressive detailing on the kangaroo itself. Further thanks are due to @jultorsk If anybody has a 2010 BU silver 1oz Kangaroo at Sunset that they would sell, please PM me.

This 2019 Matte sovereign was one I minted at the Royal Mint VIP tour last September. PCGS thought I did a reasonable job and graded it MS70.

Want to show this amazing rarity: the George IV 1829 half sovereign mule with 1823 reverse. Ex Terner collection, PCGS PR64CAM. Only 2 are known and the other one is impounded in the Royal Mint collection. The Royal Mint actually struck 4,205 half sovereigns during 1829, but all with 1828 dies.

Picking this little beauty up tomorrow... I intend to get the inside fitted out to hold slabbed coins and it will hold around 130+ slabs. The inside is oak lined with brass corners, hinges etc and a stunning Coat of Arms. It's around 100 - 120 years old and will make a beautiful and unique holder for the discerning collector! Happy to talk to anyone who may be interested in one.
