Have any of you wondered about the coins minted today and how they might be seen and graded in the future? I’m speaking about general circulation coins. With contactless now (I presume) being the most preferred method of payment and circulation coins still being minted, surely that means less wear. I may not be posting this in the right section of the forum but surely there will be more higher graded circulated coins in the future approx (2019 -2024) as I write this. -
Yes, agree here too. The beauty of collecting 1/4 Brits and Sovs are that the proof capsules are the same, and you can mix and match presentation boxes. -

I'm pretty sure the 1/4 Britannia from those years are 22mm in diameter. And that is right about the weight. So I would say your coins are correct -

Hi all, looking for your help. I usually only buy sovereigns but picked up a couple 1/4 oz Britannias locally as a change. From what I can find the dimensions from Royal Mint are 22.05mm diameter and 7.77g. Mine weigh approx 7.80g and 21.95mm in diameter. Is this about right for them? Could any compare? They are 2020 and 2019. -
