The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken

It's two lines rather than one line, 1935 had one line raised edge on proof version of the crown whereas 2 lines would be much harder to achieve a good finish.

What would the reason be for the wider rim on the gold? It just looks like it's stealing space from the design, similar to how a normal £5 sovereign's proportions are shrunk down despite having the extra space.

I think you are all crazy waiting in a queue for something which the dealers have preordered and you’re fighting over the scraps left. The FOMO is real.

Why not buy some Hattons of London specials next week and really cash in!😁

Good luck everyone though.

Think the silver pops more than the matt gold.

The gold looks very similar to the gothic golds......If it's the same finish I doubt anyone will be upset.....Let's be honest they an't gonna be a lot of people on the planet who will end up with one.
