Newbie here to learn

Greetings, all! I've just begun my foray into the wonderful world of precious metals, and wanted to introduce myself a bit to the group. I've always had an interest in what I now know to be called stacking, but had no idea of how to properly begin until I stumbled across a couple of videos on the subject. I live in the States, where the most common place to start is with 1-oz. generic silver buffalo rounds, so that is where I started a few weeks ago. I'm looking forward to learning from this group and to eventually diversify my teeny, tiny little stack in the months and years to come.

Welcome to the forum. Keep on stacking! and as you are a US stacker I would say dont be tempted into Uk proofs,  the US eagles and buffaloes would be the safest way for you to continue building your stack. Gold as well as silver!! Enjoy the journey and save for the future!

3 short months ago, these words could easily have been mine. Then I joined The Silver Forum and encountered the superlative bargains contained therein. Originally my puny muscles could barely open a capsule; today, thanks to the workout achieved by lugging my ever-expanding stack around, I am two separate gorillas.

Disclaimer: I am also being hunted by the tax authorities on two continents (one of them yours) and have flirted with bankrupcy to such an extent that bankrupcy's father insisted we get engaged for decency's sake.

A fellow afficionado! Have you read his other (non-flashman) stuff? I recommend The General Danced at Dawn - a total piss-take of Highland regiments in India at the height of the British Raj. I guess you have to be of a 'certain age' to get a lot of it but I genuienly wet myself!
