Does anyone know what would happen if you kept gold in the freezer would it damaged it and de value it

Gold can stay in salt water in a ship wreck for 200+years and can still grade at MS 

Wouldn't do it with gold proofs personally 

One of the best bits  of advice for sneaky stacking hiding places here was just hide it behind the lettuce at the back of fridge

On the basis of science it shouldn't harm it, but I'm not sure I'd want all that moisture near coins, bullion or not.

What happens if wife accidentally dumps the package not knowing what's inside 🤔 if she does know do you trust she wont run off with it 😆 😂 on a serious note I think it's a fekin silly idea. Get yourself a good quality safe or safety deposit box. Tell no-one what your collecting, because you're the weakest link. If they can get to you, then they can force you to handover the items whether in a freezer or safe.

Bolt the safe to a well hidden wall/floor thats out of obvious reach and your secrecy will see you just fine.

Or look into off-site storage at a safety deposit box and remove the stress altogether.

Being you been buying those little tiddlers, why not put then in a fish tank with the pirate booty. A burglar would walk right past it.

On a more serious note. If you have  one of those bricked up fire place with a plastic screwed air vent.  Bag up your coins and hide them there, always within reach. No one will ever bother to look there.

I saw a clip of the post from the guy that was being investigated. I thought it was b/s to start with but it seems increasingly more common not to trust a third party. I am edging towards just going John which style and concrete into the floor.

Your gold will be the same value, no worries about and over all is a good idea to hide your small coins amongst frozen vegetables.

What I am saying is the biggest threat is not what you might think.

Also in real life the man would end up in a bedsit with nothing, not even able to see his children. The police would turn up with a social worker and probably have minutes to put together a bag, what would you put in that bag? No use routing through a safe or the frezzer. The more desperate the control structure gets the more readily they will steal from you and the more dystopian society will become.  Look at the Russian Oligarchs as an example, You are Russian and you probably know Putin so we are going to steal your wealth, totally unlawful but we are going to do it anyway.  All it takes is the bar to be lowered enough to encompass the ordinary punter and we all  know how easily they can lower the bar when need be.
