Just go to the post office with your 'sorry, you weren't in' card, collect and sign.

Special delivery requires a signature.

if you are not in, it will be taken back to the Post Office for you to collect.

tavex send my goods straight to my local post office (walk in post office)

if Royal Mail miss it they send it sorting office and where I live it’s open Monday Wednesday Friday

for about the last 3 months or so our postal service in the NE has started making signatures priority again, first we get a card saying "we will attempt again tomorrow" then if that fails it goes to our local sorting office for pick up

They stopped just posting through letterboxes a while back for us

ask the seller to send it to the care home, shes the manager, surely she can collect personal mail if its addressed C/O Mrs Bipolar etc etc

I’m lay in bed with mrs bipolar now and just read this out loud and we both raised our eye brows and said why have we not thought of this 😂😂

It is very simple. When the member gives you the tracking number, go on royal mail site

https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item#/

Once the package is travelling, you can get it diverted and picked from a local address like a shop or post office. Very simple

Another thing you can possibly do is get a PO box.. not sure on opening hours in your local area, so will need research. Personally I'd go with Gordy's idea and get it delivered to you or your wife's work!

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

I'm still getting 90% of them dropped through the letterbox.  I don't mind but for the implications of it being one day dropped through the wrong letterbox and picked up by some unscrupulous person, and there being no signature or doorstep pic to show where it was delivered.  Very very occasionally the postie might ring the doorbell to get me to sign, but most of the time it's just pushed through.  Seems to be only certain posties who will insist on a signature.

If this is the case, what is there to stop anyone going on-line and changing the delivery address?
