Tudor Beasts - 2023 Yale of Beaufort - Pre-Orders Available Now

Recommended Posts

Those of us collecting the series that followed on from the Queens Beasts - the Tudor Beasts - the second bullion coin from the Royal Mint is available to pre-order. This is the 2023 Yale of Beaufort and is minted in various sizes and metals.

I am hoping to purchase the 1 oz gold, 1oz platinum, 2oz and 10oz silver so keen to know who will offer the best prices.

Moderators - please move to Precious Metals Section if necessary having now spotted an earlier topic on the Yale.

Only the second in bullion, lion and now yale.

Proofs on the other hand are on coin three, panther/lion/yale

I like to buy the pre-dip rise.

There's only two bullion so far, proofs are one coin ahead.

It’s been such a long time I’ve forgotten what I’ve signed up for!🫢🤔

It seems odd that they missed Seymour out of the bullion but released Yale?

Yeah the RM has/is going through what only can be described as a s*** storm lately..far to many releases and in such short succession to each other. To many quality control issues/returns. At the time it was almost like they forgot the bullion when the panther came out, then had an abundance of enquiries so decided "what better time to release " than after coin two in the proofs..and let's spice it up a little and release them in different order😂😂

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.

Notice the price of the 1oz proof has gone down to £95 today,

Apparently the people who signed up for the 10 coin pre-order were complaining as they were also charged the £110 it was on release.  RM said price had gone up as they have added an inscription around the edge (which by the look of the website is only on the 1oz) but after complaints they have dropped the price to £95 for all.  Anyone who had the higher amount taken will get a refund

The one ounce proof always had the inscription, so scratch that answer.  My two ounce, and hopefully the display case have shipped.

You will find they are delaying the cases I called the royal mint the other day to confirm. Expect a delay on the case, they are still making them!

It's a 2023 coin so will be available all throughout next year no rush on those. The lion however is a 2022 coin so will start to become harder/more expensive from next year I'd imagine. I intend to get a lion before their premium might go up way above spot and hold off on the Yale to see if the spot price drops dramatically.

Thanks for your input @Mtaybar, that’s a good tactic.

I already purchased the Tudor Beast 1/4oz Gold Lion several weeks ago when spot price dipped. I intend to collect the full set of TB 1/4oz gold coins to sit alongside my QB 1/4oz gold collection which I managed to pick up as a full set.

I just hope Prince Charles ugly mug doesn’t end up on the TB coins or I may decide to abandon that collection altogether lmao 🤣

I think it's almost an inevitably that he'll feature on them at some point along the way. I wonder what happens though if say for example, Charly takes the reins after the production of the coming coin and it features Liz already.... Will they melt them and start again or would some feature Liz and then during continued production they switch to Charlies mug?

No, they have to use the queen for approx 1 year after stepping down/death.
