Any Chess Players?

I wondered with the excellent skilled silver pourers here whether their might be interest in some kind of monthly chess set being created for interested members? I would be very interested and thought it would be fun if 2 or more pourers created the different sets making a unique complete set akin to black and white? I think I even saw @BackyardBullionsenior created a wooden base for his earth collection so maybe a unique board too?

I have a couple of monthly chess club members and happy to add more!

A full set weighs about 110 ozt!

A full set with board would work out to be approximately £3900 with 110 ozt and board

Every piece is hallmarked individually

Every piece also has its based sanded down to a mirror finish so they stand steady on the board.

the price I think would be vastly prohibitive to most unfortunately hense why I was wondering about some kind of regular subscription service if its possible ? chess sets I have to say are beyond stunning

Totally, we are already doing this with some people!

The pawns are all about 3 ozt each ranging up to the king at about 4.5 ozt each

This makes the pieces about £100 to £150 each 

I am happy to work on whatever schedule people want too, months off, doubled up sometimes too. 

Easily done!

It is done with Liver of Sulphur - so basically a very long duration toning effect sped up to create a deep dark blue/grey.

would the sulphur affect the value of the silver? would you have a more antique silver to go opposite the polished if I didn't like the black?

The sulphur is a very common thing to just tone silver. It polishes off pretty easily with regular silver polish. 

We can do the dark colours in a range of depths to suit. Even pretty rainbow colours although I don't have any photos to hand right now. 

Basically, this is a big set and commitment for anyone, we would work with you to make sure it is as perfect as can be.

If you did gold vs Silver you would need about 95 oz of gold and thats about £140,000 worth!
