Yes agreed. Not a completely obvious counterfeit and I fear that the buyer was probably older and not savvy to the scumbags on eBay.

problem is that not everyone is as wise in the ways of pm or google or tinternet or even programming the sky box.

 

reckon the best way to fix it is to have every household have a 12 year old installed to explain tech and scams.   there are times when even i need one to explain why bluetooth doesnt transfer files even though both devices say they are paired 🤪

No need to read the description.  The photos show fake coins. The lack of bidding suggests fakes. Technically the seller has done nothing wrong. He gave a correct description and plenty of photos. Immoral but took advantage of stupid people.
