2oz gold - 200 mintage £4,775

Ive just found it today browsing around, so have missed out.  I didn't even realise it had been released :(

Cant recall it being mentioned here yet

Anyone pick one of these up ??  looks lovely

Might a good chance for doing well this one

I really don't think that anyone has missed all that much in aesthetic terms: neither the obverse  nor the reverse strike me as being interestingly conceived or well executed;  in each case the detailed parts are too small in relation to the whole.

Saw it but wouldn’t have bought it even if I could have.

Too many minted.

Happy New Year everyone :)
I saw it and could get one, but I'm not too confident. What bothers me is all these variations and mintages, I would have preferred at least a 2oz gold with a mintage below 100 ... it's a lot of money to gamble, even more with the ongoing investment in the GE 2oz gold set. However, I took the plunge with the £5 gold plain edge, and think the risk is (maybe) more limited and  a longer term bet. (wishful thinking ;)) Mintage 400 nevertheless 😐

Sometimes even when you filter to show “worldwide” listings, “local” ebay sites can be quite finicky in what results they throw up.

In hand its lovely to be honest. I have the 2oz & £5 Crown. What did it sell for or the listing price? I have on here with Silver for £7000

I'm out for a beer at mo, but off memory, list price on feebay was 11500 and sold via best offer. Seller was trusted dealer cameo coins. Pop a search in eBay completed sales "2oz gold coin"

Oh yes I know that dealer. So 7k seems ok to me

Tempted at your deal but simply don't have the funds. Buying 2oz gold's ain't good for the bank balance :( too many good releases in so many short months and more to follow (gothic portrait in march)

The obverse looks way better in hand.  Did not buy myself but a very nice coin.

A possible diamond in the rough???  2oz gold certainly seem to have a sweet spot for collectors once graded. All slabs standard size, packs a lot of value in a small space
