Will there be a Tudor Beasts Completer?!

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I know we are 5+ years away if there was to be a Tudor Beasts Completer coin released but my main question is..

Will the complete set case that is included with the second Tudor Beast coin release, have an 11th space??

Unlike the Queens beast case that only has 10 spots & no room for the Completer!

I’ve ordered the silver 10 coin series - wish my budget stretched to the gold!

you've got no room to talk you 'forced' me to buy one of those egyptian thingy's 😂

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.

I'd say yes.. its a given if the set is successful which they know it will be, i love the panther and the style of it so the rest will be different from the QB's which makes it a collectable set

It is a gorgeous coin.. I will keep a look out for it on the ‘Today I received…’ topic!

Just checked the website and it says last few in stock - there are only 700 minted 🤩

I’m very interested to see what the royal mint does with this collection, will they keep the queen for the entirety of the collection or will they change to the king for the next coin?

IMO this collection now has potential to be one of the best investments, depending on which way the royal mint go with it!

Any future coins released now will have the King's head on them.  So the first two or three (depending whether we are talking about bullion or proof coins) will have QEII on them, and the remainder will have KCIII.

I would be very surprised indeed if the RM did anything other than the above.  It would probably not be lawful.

Always a chance ( unlikely but not impossible ) the RM might discontinue the Tudor Beasts series.
Probably not because there is too much money to be made with the Beasts in 3 metals in various sizes.
However they discontinued the silver one ounce Lunars without any warning.
You just never know but I wouldn't buy a wooden box right now.

What is the story with the Lunars? Why did they stop it and are the ones they already released hard to get hold of/sought after?

I think the RM cancelled the original Lunars because of (a) relative lack of interest and (b) the Year of the Dog coin was very polarising.

I have a few of the Monkey coins because it's my own Chinese Lunar sign, and I bought a couple of the Rooster coins for my mum, as it's her Chinese Lunar sign.  I like both designs, particularly the Rooster.

@Pete is right to consider the possibility that the RM might abandon the Tudor Beasts series (the same thought had crossed my mind) but they have already announced what all ten Beasts will be, so I think it's unlikely that they will cancel.

I will consider a couple of the other coins on their own merits (the Dragons) and would probably buy some Completer coins if they made them, but I'm definitely not collecting the series.  I have a couple of Lions but I'm not buying any Yales or Panthers.
