Just out of curiosity, and honestly because I don't actually know. What is the official gold price tracker, because different sites have the price slightly different.

I normally use the Royal Mint website for my gold price indicator but is that the most accurate one 🤔

Go back to the first page in this thread, which was dated January 2015 and the spot price of gold was £718. That's almost a £1000 spot price increase in less than 10 years, which is in the region of £100 year on year.

Not a bad return for anyone who was wise enough to invest in gold and to hold onto it!

Excellent question good sir!

I use silverprice.org or goldprice.org.
Others use tradingview.com for their spot price.

I don’t use the RM.

The ticker on the TSF is good but for a basket of investments I use the trading view app on my iPhone which has a live feed for free.

In early Jan 2016 Britannias were £792 by early July they were up to £1099.

But back mid March 2012 they were £1103.

Always good to remember when currencies are in their death throws, commodities will fluctuate wildly. Price discovery is tough when the faith in the FIAT is dying
