Thoughts on tonight's open?  Will we see gold continue back up?  Or is it going to turn further down?  My bet is that this week will be made up of smaller movements and some consolidation around this level, international events aside.

New profile pic to support the current thing, because it's current year.

That's a decent shout! Are there any government releases of data due this week?

I'm hoping it goes down steadily over next 2 weeks and then I will have some funds to buy more.

I'm buying at the end if the month so it will probably be a all time high 😂😂

Tonight’s open …..Novak Djokovic  won so continues back up. Definitely some smaller movements and consolidation at this level as early in the tournament. All to play for🤓

Nothing major in USA, building permits and the like.  UK has unemployment and inflation numbers on 16th / 17th

So that might tank GBP then dependent on the publication.

Yeah there might be a bit of divergence.  Retail sales as well on the 19th.  Forecast to be a contraction, but GDP came in slightly better last week so who knows.  I think the war issue is going to come to nothing.  It's going to be a little tit for tat type event, slowly degrading the rock bangers ability to hit shipping in the red sea.  Not a big driver of gold price in my opinion.

UK aircraft carriers can’t be sent to Red Sea because of Navy staffing crisis:

I have a mate who has been a officer in the navy for six years and has never been to sea once because the three times they have tried the ship broke down. He said quiet a few of the ships can't move.

Nah, they don't want to stop the dinghies, they create a problem that miraculously will be solved before the election. Exactly like the backlog in processing asylum applications... bloody politics

Would anyone bother jumping on the dinghies if there were no strong financial incentives on the other side?

The Jubilee proofs are already doing pretty well, the other 2 maybe a rather longer haul, judging by the way Chards etc are still trying to ditch their coronation stock, the RM s made massive volumes of both these, way more than ever before.

Still a good longer term proposition for the long haul, I got a number of doubles as well, those lower premiums I prefer.

For sure. I don't think they are particularly investment worthy right now but I've not seen any fakes as yet so if nothing else I see these as a safe buy at least.

End of the day I'm buying as a Bullion soverign and if it never gains a premium then no worries, if it does then it's a no lose bet.
