The problem here is that newish members won't remember the way Admin used to run the monthly forum giveaways, ie everyone who wants to participate adds a reply to the raffle thread consisting of the next available number. So, the first to respond posts "1", the next "2" etc etc. Now you just click on a link.

This means we end up with a sequence of numbers from 1 to x  eg 1 to 70 where x=70 for sake of argument. It is then a simple matter to enter "start = 1" and "end =70" into an online random number generator.

Can you imagine how on earth you would pick a random number from the sequence;

I think numi can just set a random number generator from the lowest to the highest number and keep pressing until one hits (and whoever typed that number first).

I thought it was pick your favourite number without waiting

for 27 people to go before you. you wait and wait, and then

a train load of people run straight past your number.

@westminstrel I was being silly and making a 0.0001 correction pi, as opposed to entering the draw...I understand that non-integers do not mesh well with a random number generator, as I'm sure @greendragon does.  So please remove me from your master list, and thank you for bringing some order to the chaos!! 😊
