I have just noticed this topic. Affiliate links are not allowed on the forum due to forum rules. However as this topic has already been open for some days I will leave this specific topic open and those who wish can reply. Ive just signed up. Thanks

This is a new currency and payment network built by ex-PayPal guys, called Initiative Q. The Q currency is currently being allocated for free if you are invited by an existing member.
The idea is that if millions of people join, Q could become a leading payment network, and, according to well-known economic models, that means the value of the reward would be around $130,000.
The amount you reserve decreases every day, and each member has a limited number of invites. You can use my invite link here:
https://initiativeq.com/invite/B4ZNy8y3m
(Don’t worry. No funny stuff. You just need to give your name and email and your spot is reserved).

Can someone sign up through mine.

Cheers

Yeah no problem with invite links on this for now.

If the board starts getting spammed then we'll have to rethink.

I don't know whether anything will ever come of this as they haven't decided whether it'll be an ERC-20 token or not.

There is nothing to lose for the moment but if further down the line they start asking for money then forget about it.

The invite system has a bit of a multi-level marketing feel about it.

I am signed up, can some folk use my link below please.

Initiative Q is building a new payment network and giving away significant sums of their future currency to early adopters. It’s by invite only and I have a limited number of invites. My personal invite link:

Used yours paul. Initials on my name are RF to verify.👍

I've seen this across the internet like a social virus this week.  Very surprised people here would be taken in by the promise of invented money.  There is no provision for exchange in and out of regular cash, the Q's are trapped in a closed system so anyone accepting them would have to spend them with other Q accepting vendors/suppliers.  Their basic premise is flawed as a payment network requires vendor acceptance, not simply a network of people.

They are harvesting a nice list of live emails and social networks, good for spam and phishing. Lets hope their aims are benevolent.

However, worse part of the scheme is that your name is broadcast to everyone that clicks the link.  So if you are interested, remember to use a dummy account with dummy info.

I used a throwaway email address that has only been used for this.  They can spam it all they like :D

Here is my link:

Initiative Q is an attempt by ex-PayPal guys to create a new payment system instead of credit cards that were designed in the 1950s. The system uses its own currency, the Q, and to get people to start using the system once it's ready they are allocating Qs for free to people that sign up now (the amount drops as more people join - so better to join early). Signing up is free and they only ask for your name and an email address. There's nothing to lose but if this payment system becomes a world leading payment method your Qs can be worth a lot. If you missed getting bitcoin seven years ago, you wouldn't want to miss this.

Here is my invite link: https://initiativeq.com/invite/BbrycKy3X

This link will stop working once I’m out of invites. Let me know after you registered, because I need to verify you on my end.

This reminds me a bit of chain letters.

I was just thinking what was the point of chain letters so I just googled 'what was the point of chain letters'.

The purpose of chain letters is to annoy as many people as possible in as little time as imaginable. Chain letters exist because as a whole, people are gullible and stupid. They believe what they read and so they must forward it.
