Silver Deals.....

Dear AuFinger,

please send pictures of the damaged coins to sales@silver-to-go.com and I will see what I can do. If they have damages production wise (same damage on each coin), we get them exchanged by the mint. If it is other damages we take care our selves, but in general we ship new coins that should be in good quality. Obviously our shippers can't open each tube to double check every single coin if somebody orders eg hundred coins.

Also you should know that you are investing in bullion coins, produced for investment and not collection purposes. Therefore it is common that they are not 'perfect', might have tiny errors that influence the prettiness but not the value of the silver. Obviously I am not talking about deep scratches or milk marks all over.

It's always hard to tell without a picture, so if anyone has a complaint - please e-mail pictures!

Regards,

Livia

Did anybody buy it?

Actually, it was me. Only just seen the post about it on here though.

I have eBay alerts set up for newly listed Britannia proofs, and I saw this and went for it.

Be interesting to see what turns up!!!!

Unfortunately our product manager miscalculated the price first, it didn't cover the cost to import the coins. This explains the sudden 'rise' in pricing - still a pretty good offer though :)

  • 3 weeks later...

I don't understand why they add VAT on second hand bars.

I would buy a lot more silver if I could get hold of kilo bars tax free - even at 14% premium from HGM I would still be tempted. STG's kilo coins have tempted me in the past but there is something cool about bars stacked up in a safe that coins cant replicate

I think I am too soft for silver bullion. The premiums are quite painful but paying tax on top makes the pain impossible to bear!

Anyone know what HGM pay for silver? selling at spot +14% seems excessive to me, and then to add VAT on top seems ridiculous.

I bet they don't buy in at spot or so and then pay VAT on top, thereby recompensing the seller.
