I am strugging on this one.  I have the other 4 X 1oz gold proofs but struggling to force myself to pull the trigger on this one.

Currently over double spot price for a design i dont like.

Debating if I should just spend the money elsewhere on something I want.

I would pick it up and if you decide to get rid im sure you would still get your premium back - especially once theyre all gone! If you love the other proofs then you may be gutted you have one missing in the set. Then it may cost a lot more to pick up!

I really like the design... From the first moment i saw it i fell attracted to the coin. This is a really fantastic serie to collect!

Are you collecting the Proofs or the Bullion - seems like the Bullion offer better value than the Proofs?

Mixed feelings for me. While as a stand alone design looks good, it seems irrelevant to the rest of the series at the same time.

Yes that is what I was thinking but couldnt figure it out, I like the coin on its own, but it does not seem 'heraldic' or 'royal' or 'regal' looking as the rest of the set and thats what marks it down for me.

I think this may end up being one of the most popular QB in the long run. It lowest mintage in series (gold proof) helps.

I agree I’m picking up the silver. But I actually really like the design

Currently building my silver stack so looking for Kooks, Koalas, Eagles & Pandas

Outside of silver I also run a technology YouTube channel http://youtube.com/thenorthernblogger

The Falcon of the Plantagenets one ounce gold proof has now sold out.

Seems we miss judged this one considering there are still 1oz gold proof bulls and dragons in stock, sold out quicker than the 1/4 oz Plantagenets.

Ordered mine on the 31st and still showing as an open order and heard nothing since, wish they would hurry up and get it in the post :)

In terms of the sellout, this was the lowest mintage of the 1oz gold proofs at 445.  Although the bull and dragon, like the falcon, each had 400 sold by the Royal Mint in the "limited edition presentation", it means MCM had less to sell in the graded presentation.  So it could be some of these Royal Mint presentation proofs were purchased for grading given that only 45 of the falcons will be part of the "graded presentation" (edit: there were 100 each of the bull and dragon, so a total of 500).

Still don't like it lol

My feeling toward the Bull.  But once committed, it's extremely difficult to call it a day.  I guess out of a series of 10, there's bound to be a stinker or two.   For me it's the Bull.

The Bull is pretty rotten imvho, but this one doesn't even fit into the set! I hope they pull it back from there after these last two issues, and quicksmart!

You are absolutely right @kimchi, this does not fit the stylised design of the others,  and certainly not in keeping with the actual Queen's Beasts statues this set was initially following the design of:

https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/6th-june-1953-a-sculptor-creates-working-on-a-sculpture-of-a-white-picture-id3399843?k=6&m=3399843&s=594x594&w=0&h=fnhU0TmT8kxx8My_i7ygxTO4zsDPGFV9KVwHnawlTqA=

My view is this one isn't as rotten as the Bull, but it is out of step with the others.

One more stinker/ out of step release might well kill this series off for me.
