A big thank you to @9x883 for this beautiful 2003 1oz Britannia.

This is my favourite image, to me it represents courage and sacrifice and I am reminded of the British nurse Edith Cavell, who in WWI was executed for assisting allied soldiers escape from occupied land.

So you know, if you can remember, since at the moment I'm limited to just likes, anytime I give you or any one a "Like" on any coins etc.. it's actually a "Love" as I only respond to those coins etc.. that I love and

I gotta say this 1oz Gold Britannia has such a very lovely portrait and what it represents to you is heartwarming.

I've not heard back from him yet but have him both options.

It is for the security of the original purchaser - whether it is a Data Protection matter I’m not sure.

Didn't even think of that, could potentially cause some troubles.  I was just thinking the buyer would get it quicker.

Still not heard back but think I will request just to send it back to him.

Thanks for the heads up 👍

It will be a GDPR/Data Protection issue for the original buyer. That persons name and address is PII (Personally Identifiable Information)

There was a 5,000 limit on it.

Thanks @paulmerton.

Haven't seen many of any of the denominations for 2023 come up for sale as think they made the full set 1/10th to 1 Oz

Yes, they were likely all minted as there were 1/10oz, 1/4oz, 1/2oz and 1oz 2023-dated ones in the trial piece auction.

I don't think any of the bullion coins were sold directly by RM to the public. Where did you get yours from?

Remember the trail piece auction but don't recall them being on sale anywhere. Numista lists them all as 100?

this one was listed for sale on fleabay so did a deal with the seller, checked it over and collected it

Numista doesn't show any mintages for the 2023 1oz gold.

This US listing is the only place I've seen a mintage mentioned https://monumentmetals.com/2023-1-oz-british-gold-standard.html

Numista doesn't have mintages for any of the Gold Standard coins even the 2020 which seems fairly common in bullion. Yes I couldn't find much info on them other than the US sites. Maybe they all went overseas??

Seems likely. I just hope the 2022 coins don't become readily available in abundance :D

Does that mean that they were dropped on the floor and the spit polished back to "As good as new" condition? Asking for a Bert!

More than likely. Never expected to write Royal Mint and Best value in the same sentence 🤣
