The only problem I see with this scenario, is that if the reddit guys succeed in their plans of bringing down hedge funds and banks, then the already fecked economy is going to get an even bigger hit. The stock market crashes as everyone sells their long positions to cover their shorts, the economy crashes, inflation rises, unemployment rises, austerity goes back on the table, peoples pension pots decrease massively, and we're all screwed.
Whilst the reddit lemmings are thinking they are sticking it to the man, they are actually in danger of destroying their own lives.
The only hope on the horizon, is that all these bored people sitting at home isolating, pretending to be day traders, will eventually go back to work and p!ssing their wages away down the pub/bookies/casino, instead of the SM, or they lose all their cash because they weren't quick enough to sell at a profit.
Being part of a massive group sticking it to the government, is all well and good but you have to live with your actions afterwards.
By trying to see the bigger picture, I'm now, hoping that the reddit craze gets stomped on and crushed by the big guys,......The damage they could cause is just not worth it.

wsb seems to be turning on the silver posts, they're trying to keep people focused on gme apparently
Honestly, I don't buy the narrative on most of this event. Institutional money probably made a killing on all of this and now watching people play tug of war over who gets to hold the bag.

Don't think this will be as easy to squeeze as GME was, but definitely could see more interest in it, especially after the GME event is over.

Looks so much better in gold. Will this be a BCC exclusive as well?

Honestly looks better than in the BCC pics. If that second pic had been up on their site I probably would have given more thought to making a purchase, haha. Congrats!

Mine arrived! Very well packaged in a box full of foam nuggets unlike RM, very well presented and a lovely coin in hand

I’d think £4,500-£5,000 would be my limit

Looks like they are from the Japanese Yahoo auction site. He posted a link a few comments above that didn't show up until now for some reason. There are a few listings there from Japanese sellers, which is interesting.
Here's the link again in case: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u417342489
Wonder what the sale price on those will be when they are offered retail?

I appreciate this is the silver thread but I know that 400 Alderney gold Una’s were minted and 389 of them graded PR70. Maybe the canny investor should shop around for one of the 11 coins that achieved a rarer grade? 😜

I would argue that the Alderney gold version was the real deal as it remained true to the original by incorporating the classic 1839 Roman numerals instead of the 2019 ones used by the RM.

I honestly think them all being 70's is a bit of a downside. A perfect grade like that needs lesser grades in comparison to carry a premium.
Didn't the Alderney Una and the Lion do fairly well though? Obviously not as crazy as the RM but still went for multiples over sale price?

Any restrictions should be under the details, you might have to click the "Learn More" button if there is one. I don't have the offer here so am unable to check myself.
EDIT: After looking at the image the link "T&C's Apply" might be where you can find out.

That might not include coins/bullion though. They typically leave that out for similar promotions on US ebay which is always a bummer. Must be one of their most profitable categories.

Looks like one just sold but can't see the best offer price that was accepted.
Couldn't make up my mind on this one and wound up passing but don't feel great about it now, haha. Just a few things threw me off, I don't like that they are all 70's for instance.
I'm in the US too so the added cost of shipping and exchange rates put it about 100pounds out of my price range. Probably should have grabbed one and given myself another week or so to think about it.
EDIT: And another one just sold for 850pounds.

This one is going to be an epic one. This has genuine worldwide interest for very few coins, assuming the RM haven’t ramped the mintage up and nobody will know until they appear online, whenever that is.
