Gsbe site is awful.  They had 1/10 brits for £80 a few months back wish i had ordered a few!

Its pretty obvious what he was referring to, this being a gold thread doesnt mean every comment will be about gold and if you knew prices no one can afford to buy bulk 1kg Gold bars unless you are Bill Gates

HB is the cheapest, chards with postage for a single coin is much higher.  I dont see why there is a debate on that.  Using the price of buying 10+ coins v single from HB is not like for like and most of us buy 1 at a time

Damn HB were 319 just last week! Im going to wait till things get back to normal can see Gold dropping a bit once confidence returns in the market.

Being pedantic, there is an error on our page.

Where we say "Original Price", this is misleading and illogical nonsense, for few reasons.

The real original price was almost certainly 10 guilders, not £279.86!; and price we quote changes with spot gold price; I very much doubt the original price changed all the time.

What we should say is "normal price" or "usual price".

I did notice this idiocy on a different product on our site about a week ago, but it looks like we have not got around to fixing it. Grrrr!

True the spam maybe is not worth , but you can opt out?  This is the cheapest price anywhere in UK for a sov, even HGM had them yesterday for 340£ and they have shut down now

Gold Jewellery will inevitably become unaffordable for most (especially 22ct in Asia) how much of an impact will this have on the Gold prices, or is it etfs etc pushing up prices?!

It will continue to fall!!

A Tory win (expected) will surely increase £, stocks and Gold prices will fall further on friday?

Thing with HGM when you go in store they ask you for date preference but dont bring out all coins only 1 so you have no choice
