Not quite what I was expecting arrived from HGM.
Grabbed 2 proof half sovs £121 each and they turned out to be IOM 1979 commemorative jobs, mintage 30,000.
Got to say, I am quite taken with them. Trouble is my OCD wants me to put them in capsules like the rest of my little hoard.
 

Picked up these two beauty's at the local coin show today - Considering that they are the old style holders - to find them in mint condition is really hard to do.  Most have handling damage, the plastic separating on the assay card, etc.

I couldn't wait for this one to arrive.  Pre-ordered from Atkinsons.  Extremely pleased to own it.

Tidy business live at auction this weekend. A total of 6 full sovereigns - four Vics (average of £279 each for an 1871 shield, 1875 M, 1888 S Jubilee Head, 1900 old head), the bullion 2017 (always fancied one - but missed out until today) and finally - a 2017 proof Sov ?. Paid £680 for that proof - but its in good shape and frankly i don’t see it getting cheaper anytime soon.  Of course i should have bought it straight away from the Mint for was it £525? But hindsight is easy.   
Of the Vics - i needed a Jubilee Head for my type set, and the 1871 London Shield Back Die 7 is probably the pick of the bunch.  I have never graded a bullion sov in my life - but can you Sovereign guys estimate the potential NGC grade (AU58?). 
Other major win was a boxed proof 2017 silver Krugerrand - along with some other silver bullion (including some pre-47 UK and US ) and one of those weird Tristan Da Cunha proof silver coins all for £111.  Wanted that silver proof Krug after seeing many here getting them....but never fancied paying the crazy prices.  Reckon that was a real bargain, and it is a stunning piece. Finally  - if anyone can give me any info on the TDC £1 0.925 silver proof 100th anniversary of the House of Windsor .... i would appreciate it. I cannot find anything about it - but it is claimed to be 0.925 silver.

Arrived. 1937 proof double sov. Not a deep cam or a cam but was a good price and discounted at a reputable registered dealer £400 from its original price and about 350 only graded higher by ngc and pcgs. No complaints.

Received this today. Back from NGC. Big thanks to Numistacker.

Finally picked up the two lovely gold one - ouncers that I bought in the dip a few weeks ago. A 2017 eagle and a 2017 anniversary Britannia. Nice to contrast the colour and the designs, with the US eagle of course being 0.917. Sorry about the poorer photo of the Brit - but I am reluctant to take it out of its capsule. Regarding the designs; while the Eagle is very good (and with a big ounce you can see more of the finer details of the eagles nest and the White House ), it does make me appreciate that the Royal Mint here in the UK is willing to take some risks and plays with new tweaks to the designs on the front and back. Lets face it, we do grumble about the RM and pile into them when they get it spectacularly wrong (eg the 2018 lunar dog) but at least they take the risk. On the US side - i guess it would take another revolution to change the design. Maybe President Trump will order a new design - with the genius himself on both sides!?
Anyway - back to the final gold coin - a cool pickup from a visit to the LCS when in the States, a 1923 Melbourne sovereign for the same premium as any other bullion.  Not in pristine condition, but this was a pretty low mintage by 1920s standards so quite pleased with that.  That one goes into the semi-numismatic pile of sovereigns?.
 
Also snagged a few of the annual silver 1 ounce designs - but my favourite by far is the Netherlands Lion restrike.  I could only find the bullion version, but i see now what all the fuss is about....and i may need to track down a proof! Some nice 1990 Canadian maples in OMP - i do like the old maples, and these are in great shape. Maybe being in the wrapper prevents spotting ?

Just received my HGM order, a 1906 and 1907 Edward sovereigns both London mint. Over the moon with them! Only 1902-1905 and a 1909 to complete the date run

Another new addition to the 1/4 oz gold World Collection - Picked up for $100 Less than the list price for a raw coin from the royal mint. I have to say that although many dislike this coin, it actually grows on you the more you look at it. (And No - Not like a wart )
