Lovely coin, very popular with the older generation who remember pre-decimalisation. Makes a great Christmas gift. I buy a few dozen every year to give away as gifts.

Todays unboxing (assured my wife its the last this year, and for some reason she believed me. I dont even believe me 🤣)

So this morning I got up early and dusted off my shot gun 
 I was on a mission today to blow the head off my Peppa The Pig... Piggy bank...  after counting my pennies  I went and bought these beasts... 4... one kilos bars and a baby 500g bar
 I was so tempted to buy the hundred ounce.....
 To my surprise even the ball and chain was happy with my purchases.

Looking at some of the very impressive photos of other SF members' latest acquisitions, I feel almost embarrassed to post a picture of my modest little 10th ounce Britannia....
but I did manage to pick it up just below spot....
and it's gold....
and it's nice and shiny....
and so I love it

I've only gone and done it! 
@TheGeneral posted a tantalising pic of a pile of ASE he picked up the other day and I commented that I really need to add some of these to my stack! That night @Wackattak924 listed some for sale.......fate......I'd say!

Mark, I have a monthly PM allowance - it’s a fixed amount and only varies year on year with a 15% increase. What I do is buy PMs each month up to the allowance level. As the price increases my weight decreases - likewise, when the price decreases my weight increases. This way I get to indulge my spending habit each month. If there is something particular I want one month which means I would have to spend more than my allowance then I have disciplined myself to keep back some of the allowance one month to cover it.

… the initial results and stark consequences of my front-loading, year-to-date, pre-Brexit bullion purchasing strategy, in anticipation of a possible end to the availability of cheap and/or VAT-free silver in the UK.

Most of this was acquired before the original March 29th exit date from the EU. So, pretty good timing … with the benefit of hindsight.
Anyway … as of now, 76 more days (at least) to add to the pile!
Consequences? … Urgent trip to B&Q required, to buy more robust cutting tools for the ‘great unboxing’ that lies ahead!
