Bought this from the Royal Mint, I swore off buying anything ever again from them due to quality control issues but since these come pre-graded from NGC I thought this cannot happen this time.  £400 for 2oz of silver I must be mad.

I think this is what happened. Some people realised that if they bought loads of £100 coins and then paid them with their credit card and then paid the £100 coins straight back into their bank and  then paid back their credit card before any interest was applied they were not actually out of pocket but could take advantage of any rewards scheme the credit card companies were offering, air miles etc. you could rack up these rewards at a rapid rate while it  never cost you a penny only a little time and effort.  this is why the banks stopped accepting them.

Unfortunately this probably won't work. I remember a story in the papers about a guy doing this at HSBC for a while some years ago. Buying from the mint using his HSBC card, getting cashback then paying them in at his local branch.  Eventually they worked out what he was doing and refused him further service and he was left with a huge amount of coins. 
There is also a guy on youtube who goes around petrol stations, supermarkets etc using these coins. It has worked a couple of times but mostly not. That might be your best chance lol.
