I was actually at the London Fair to sell some coins more than to buy , so I now have a better sense of which dealers are interested in buying, and what they will not touch. Great fun and lots to learn from chatting to the dealers.  
Could not leave without buying a little something ....but kept it to a couple of silver rounds for the generic stack. Always love an Engelhard.
 

Another buy from the london coin fair very nice coin dont mind telling peeps the price so you all khow prices from there most stalls are expensive but if you look around the is good deals i paid £255 for this of Andreas stall i did spend £2300 with him so he did it for that. Nice bloke 

Just got back from the london coin fair. Got this bad boy today my first 4 coin set. One of my favourite sovereign.s ie my profile pic lol. 

Finally got this! SOOO hard to find one as mintage is only 100...

This 1887 S sovereign arrived today...

The year 1887 is often synonymous with Queen Victoria’s Jubilee Head, but for part of the year the Sydney (and Melbourne) mint did continue to use the Young Head, which is what this is...

The Australian Branches also produced some Young Head Shield Back sovereigns in 1887 but these are very scarce to rare.

1943 Mexico 50 Pesos.  This is my second one.  I love the hefty feeling of these when you hold them.

@Bdean316, @Elements is correct, the 1891-M Short Tail is listed as R5 in Marsh, 5-10 examples estimated to have survived.  The 1891-M Long Tail is Common. Similarly, the 1891 no Mint mark for London Mint Short Tail is also listed as R5, with Long Tail as R3 or Extremely Rare. Lastly, 1891-S only minted Long Tails and were Common.

Mmmm sovereigns

My first pickup from the Royal Mint historic department. 1879 Sydney minted Shield.

My New Year’s Resolution was to try and remember how my camera works and how to download pictures to my computer.  I have finally got round to doing this but I am still practicing with the camera.  So, these have arrived since the New Year - a 2000 proof double sovereign (from a split set) and a 1994 BU quintuple sovereign.

I am known spending a day on the train, visiting a dozen different locations in the major cities of the northwestern german sprawl (Ruhrgebiet).
This costs me about €100 in tickets, but it`s all in the hunt - leave with pockets full of money, return with pockets full of gold - it's an adventure 😁
