280 is hammer though add on premium whatever that is 20% and you get 330. And it was over a year ago, Indians on the rise. Prob about right for a ms63 that a lcgs equates to. Would it get ms63 at pcgs though? Are lcgs as strict? Would you want to buy that and pay another £50 cost to cross grade to pcgs risking even a possible ms62 total expense over near enough 400 anyway? Or just buy the 400 coin now you know then what you’re getting. Each to their own

Waiting for a 1918i Sovereign is like waiting for a bus- two arriving at the same time.  Thanks to both @Elements & @jultorsk for nudging me in the right direction. The PCGS MS64 is clearly the winner here, bought from Jon Blyth  via eBay auction but the raw one is a very nice looking Uncirculated Sovereign. 






 
 

Thanks to @kneehow2018 for another 1Kg 2017 Libertad and to make it twice as nice, a lucky 1kg find from Atkinsons.

Sold an old car, promptly spent the cash on these lot. Sadly all sent to safety deposit box now...

So, turns out the Ansell I posted a few days ago has a very clear error! Means I have to find another now without an error ?
No doubt this is an extreme rarity

20 1 oz rounds.  Last tube to complete a 500 oz monster box of cheap bullion that will be my "first to sell" if and when that time comes.

Albeit that I have allowed myself some nice distractions along the way, I have finally added these two year dates to complete the eight released ‘red box’ editions of Half Sovereigns.  This in my wider quest to fill a 1980 through to present day, date run of Half Proof Sovereigns.  How I admire these little coins.
