What a wonderful Sixpence? @jultorsk Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations on this one, lovely full flan and plenty of detail on the Obverse- her collar and robes look new!  And on both sides, very clear Legends.  Is this Spink 2562?  Its a solid VF grade, all day long.

This is a 1915 4 Krone from Liechtenstein 🇱🇮 with a mintage of only 10,000 and which is understandable given that the population then was less than 9;000 people.

Portrait is Joann II and reserve shows the Liechtenstein coat of arms. A great addition to my world silver coin collection.

How dare you talk about us ‘oldies’ like that! having already climbed in the Himalayas (base camp on Dhaulagiri) Kinabalu in Borneo, and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Also been to Afghanistan and the Falklands so have already achieved ‘my dream’ of experiences. Been collecting gold for over 25 years = about a kilo+ and have never sold a single gold coin. I keep what I buy and don’t worry about when to sell. What’s this ‘liquidity’ everyone talks about?!!…….😁😇

There'll be more than a few here who remember around £700 in mid-2015 during the life of this forum. Is it really 8 years? It only seems like yesterday, but still, it's a decent enough time and will be before the majority here started stacking.
No idea where I'm going with this but it's nice to reminisce and £175 sovereigns has a lot to recommend it. 😁

I would say spend time visiting well established coin fairs, handle the coins, and ask the dealers questions- importantly, find an era/ period/ monarch you’re interested in and do some research.  Also join some Facebook groups where you’ll pick up some good information.
There’s some fabulous books available that’ll give you lots of reading/ overview, I would recommend this Spink book- it won’t break the bank either, there is also a Decimal volume.
Spink, Coins of England Pre- Decimal Issues, is in my opinion, a must have- this will provide you a good overview of each period from Celtic Coinage up until Elizabeth II Pre- Decimal.  The 2024 Edition will be released soon.

Once you find a period you’re interested in- then get geeky!
