You mean secondary market?  I'd venture no one, evidenced by lack of any for sale or sold on ebay, and a large stock still available.  These will be sold for weight to dealers and seen as "discount offers" until they are sick of the sight of them and melt them.  More premium from the cases i reckon.

One sold on eBay on 9th May for £450 plus postage...

Weren't you the guy who was sitting Gold down to $400 back in late March? If you weren't totally wiped out then, you are just another anonymous mischief making fraud. Seen your sort on hundreds of stock BBs. A waste of space.

Best post in the thread so far 👍

Ted Butler says a billion ounces of physical we’re bought with all the bailout money JPM was given over the years

Seems to be conflicting info out there.  This one reckons it’s 600million ounces so nearly half what the other guy claims.  The article is only 2 months old....

Looks like no one outside of JPM knows for sure.

*edit* ignore above, it’s actually originally from an article by Ted Butler in 2017 🤷‍♂️

altogether they have around a billion ounces

    JPM have a billion ounces?

1 billion ounces is 28349 tonnes.

According to this website the world silver reserve is 29665 tonnes...

So you’re saying JPM hold most of the worlds silver reserves?

    How big is this vault?!

Can anyone help me out with the name of the company that was recently offering 2019 sovereigns at £226 + P&P (coming to £230 in total, as I recall), please?

Whoever they are, their offer was around a few weeks back, at the same time as the H&B £229 offer, and I'm interested to see if it is still available.....

Think it was the one mentioned on this thread.  I didn't buy from them so can't vouch for them.

Do retailers have to honour pricing mistakes? I would understand coins not available and it was a computer glitch (in my case last year) but this situation is different. Had a price on their website and now that what to charge higher price? Can you force the retailer to honour original price?

Not if their T&Cs cover it.  It depends when a contract is formed and most online sellers state the contract is not formed until they have dispatched your order.  Right up to that point they can cancel for any reason they like.

Hope it reached you on time?

No, mine was one of the late ones too, we spoke about it in messages.  According to the tracking it reached the local delivery office on the following morning but they didn't attempt delivery that day.  So the problem was with my local RM rather than yours.

I wonder if that do not fly sticker is confusing them in some way?!

I almost agree. The risk is on the account who tries to avaiod the filters, so if you as buyer manage to send your email adress, ebay cant proove that you have used that info to contact him outside. Ofcourse it's best do find out dealers email or phone number without messaging via ebay. For me both ways worked plenty of times ;)

Even if a buyer got their email address through to me I would be paranoid it was an eBay undercover agent :D

On UK listings if it’s a business seller, you just have to scroll down to the seller details and the phone number and external email address are visible anyway.  I don’t think a lot of buyers realise this.

  9. Sellers are taking a real risk of getting their accounts suspended if dealing outside of eBay. If you’ve got their external email then it’s no problem but using the eBay messaging system to ask them to contact you by email is risky.  I’ve been a business seller on eBay for 10 years (not precious metals) and if someone asked me via an eBay message to contact them by email I would politely refuse.  It’s not worth losing my account and ebays filters are much better at picking this stuff up from the message system.

    That’s not a run 🏃‍♀️..it’s a step!...but a step in the right direction!

Looks like a nice coin bought at a price I have never managed to buy at...you been to HGM?

I got lucky!  I only got it cheaper because eBay randomly gave me a £10 voucher so I asked a seller to relist it in the collectibles category ;)

    Came yesterday.

alexander the great drachm around 300bc.

Might send this off to numi for NGC verification.

Out of interest, how do you know something like this is genuine?  Its not like a sovereign which is reasonably easy to test (known size, weight, etc).
