I've had an email from Atkinsons, they have the new bullion sovereign from 08:00 tomorrow morning. 

Im going to go with an opposite view. I don't think inflation will spiral out of control and I don’t think there will be 3 fed hikes. 
 
I think Silver will end this year lower.

PM's especially silver is not an investment they are a speculation many people can not tell the difference.  When most say "long term"  that's code for taking losses they really don't want to admit or realising they may have to hold for several decades to hope to break even.
For people stacking silver over the last 5, 10 years longer has it paid off your mortgage or put your kids through university? I'd love to hear some success stories and hear how you did it, I'll be the first one to genuinely congratulate you.  
I'm not against silver, I hold it.  Reading people talk about it as an investment or even worse a hedge against inflation is total lunacy.   There is that day when all the stars align and silver jumps 1000's of time and I hope it does It will make me rich....... My crystal ball is baggered so I have no idea what will happen to silver in the future. I know that there will be a stock market crash followed by a stock market boom followed by another crash and another boom. I also know that inflation will go up and inflation will come down. And interest rates will go up and interest rates will go down.
By how much and in what time scales I have not got a clue and neither has any of us. History shows that not even the expert advisors to the lever pullers have a clue.
In the absence of any idea of what the future will bring and when, I will build a diverse portfolio of assets knowing that I wont be super rich nor super poor.

You need to make your own financial decisions if you think about it anyone trying to convince you to do anything will most likely have their own motives.  There are too many YouTubers pumping their own agendas especially sponsored silver pushers.  
Silver as a hobby retains some value, better than spending money on computer games or fast and loose woman.  
Hedge against what, inflation?  This is where I would encourage you to do your own research look at silver over 2021  has it gained or lost value look at real world inflation, factor in VAT, dealer premiums, postage, storage  as a very rough guide if you buy a silver 1oz round today you need spot to increase 50% just to hope to break even, and you would still make losses if you had to pay to post it or drive somewhere to sell it.  
I'm a big fan of people being debt free, if you are making long term financial decisions look at working to be debt free by a given date.  Some of the best real world gains people can have is not paying interest or being a life long debt cycle. 

If you want exposure to silver and believe in it rising. For pure investment purpose. You would be best buying something like ISLN on whatever broker app you use. This way you are buying £100=£100. 
 
If you want some physical for hobby that is different. 
 
One thing to note is these premiums can be passed on as long as you are not selling to dealers. But if you get to any sort of volume it will be hard to offload it all at peak price.

My guess is the same, I see silver climbing the next months to drop than back to around 20 USD or maybe lower against the end of the year.
Same for gold from the moment covid is under controle and the inflation risk will go down.

I expect it will rise to £17.31, maybe £17.33.

My deepest comiserations to @stefffana whose been a wonderful sport in our price prediction bet. 
Lets see what holds for next year - I wont be making predictions as yet. Im neither bullish or bearish until I see some chart action after the 1st quarter.

Absolutely, we don't really know what's going to happen. I think that's why I buy and sell some of it, to help pay for the bits I keep. Also, it's a lot of fun and I love learning about history through the coins. 

@LukeStacker I don't think if you look at the Silver charts there is any showing that it protects your wealth. Good luck but none of us know what will happen in the end. We all have view points.

remember folks - just like in 2011 when we raced up to £30oz - sentiment was - no need to sell , as the silver train was gonna race straight to £50oz in the next station
The peak price was only there for less than a month to take advantage of, it had drop -£10oz like a hot rock very soon after in matter of a few months 
back track the silver graph of 1980 high from the Hunt Brothers cornering things, the peak was again only there for a very small window of time to take advantage of the peak price.  it was never there for a sustained period of time, all them commentators and pudits seem to always fail to mention
when normally rational people, will do irrational things, like loading up at a peak price, for fear of missing out (FOMO) when their rationale side should have been buying when silver was sub-£10oz for that short window - but sentiment for silver was at its lowest
i wish now, from day one of starting my stacking journey i had just bought gold now and just ignored silver entirely

Untrue here. Lab grown diamonds are being grown and they are grown to be flawless. These diamonds still trade for less than what the equivalent real diamond sells for.
