@James32 Hi James. So I messaged second highest bidder. Think they read this post as they word for word told me they had spent their funds and to remove them from the bids to. So my highest bidder was sitting at £519. I put it on FB for £650 and was willing to wait and see today. Coin sold on FB last night after maybe 30 mins so ended auction. 
So good outcome. My gothic crown is now free that I have and that will pay for grading to!

IMO the gothic has everyone confused, and are on cautious side. 
For me if it takes off or not it’s not going to change my world, always with a hyped coin there are people buying them that can’t afford to hold them, I saw this with 2017 sovereigns the price was dipping towards the end of the month, there’s people who have bought the Gothic with their Christmas dinner and kids Christmas present money. Just bare that in mind.

You can set preferences on who can bid, mine are set at most stringent. Years ago I was selling bitcoin on ebay and it was like a magnet for all the compromised paypal accounts one after another.

£600 seems to be the price things have settled at on the Facebook groups too. I've picked up a couple extras at that price as I think its cheap

I found out I can cancel the bid and have done so. 

I think it was a good price but also a pretty fair market value:) 
That ones still available at £650 so for now the price level has been found (even if only briefly) 
I will gaze lovingly at that coin before it goes, its something special for sure. That said i am saving for a house deposit so have to try and not get sentimental.
For sure, I value that and am willing to make sure the deal is competitive for the peace of mind:)

Shill bidding is so rife in all forms of auctions i still feel the real prices are sales here - last 2oz silver sold for £600

I'd message bidder no2 also ( they seem decent) but reach out explain the situation and ask are they still happy to be given a second chance offer

Totally agree mate, you will know someone who's either bought or sold from someone else, I use to sell on eBay for about 2 years it's full of messers and jokers people bidding on a 7 day auction only not to pay, listing uk only and getting bids from Eastern Europe, not been ripped off just opens you to people I  don't need in your life.

I'm suspicious of those ratings and feedback on eBay 🤣. I always think they've done it themselves or had mates do them for them. Here the community is small enough to kind of know you aren't all the same person and big enough to have plenty to find when you're in the market for something.
