I decided to bite the bullet and buy a 2 oz. silver Henry VII.  Since the 2 oz. has seemed easier to obtain than the 1 oz., I will consider collecting the rest of the series in 2 oz. (which is my preference).  In the meantime, I will have the 1 oz. and 2 oz. with a month to decide which way i want to go with this.
My 2 oz. arrived this weekend, and it is absolutely fantastic!  Love the box it comes in.  The King Henry portrait almost looks more BU as opposed to proof (like the obverse), which is absolutely perfect and was my wish.  I don't think they had proof coins back in the time of Henry VII!   This coin is a real winner, and I look forward to seeing the next coin in the series.  Hope it won't be so stressful to order.

I'd be interested in a 1 kg gold if you'd sell that to me for the price of a 1 kg silver.

No more speculation - we do not want to upset the RM again!

The really key questions we should be asking are
What the next release ?  When is it ? How much will it be ? What is the mintage ? Is it next Monday ?  

too cheap ! £1250 is a "fair" price because "reasons"

So by buying on the secondary market and blowing your stack at a girl who is only trying to help  and not above her pay grade as that is disrespecting her for working for a living you want to delete all social media because the RM sold the allocation to people who took the time and effort to get in the queue and were LUCKY enough to get one so they could have first refusal on the set... try buying the second one off the person you got the first one off and if he sells it to someone else have a go at his secretary and press office... 

Presumably the portrait will also be available on the secondary market 😐
 

The RM is in danger of doing what the Canadian Mint did years ago and flood the market with too many series. I would advise them to take a break after the Spring to let things cool down. They also need to get some proper tech done on their website.
 
As for the Gothic, I think they will have learned a lot from the mistake of having a tiny button to click for continuity. But, having said that, they have broken the seal on that type of release now and customers will be aware of what it means going forward……or they could just do what was done with the Alderney Gothic coins and sell as a two coin set, job done.

Basically people like me. that bought in good faith on the secondary market are utterly screwed.
Because of the decision made after the sale of the 1st of the pair of coins... It is literally impossible for me, or anyone else in the same position to buy any of these products at RRP!!
 
Additionally how are established dealers able to offer, these coins, that have never been sold to the general public, at MULTIPLES of RRP..
 
This is shocking. Trading Standards anyone. And I just dropped a proverbial bomb on the Royal Mint Press office.
I have made serious complaints about the Royal Mints conduct and market abuses that they are complicit and enable for over week a week ago.
zero. response. for a week. UTTER utter disinterest.
 
UntiI blew a few fuses to my account manager this morning (she was nice, but way above her pay grade - tried to fob me off with a 10 oz coin
(maybe I should have stopped, before I said no way. this is serious - whether it was Gold Or Silver?)
 
They are hugely damaging their brand. Ill  give them a few days to deal with my complaint seriuolsy.
Otherwise I'll drop all my correspondence hear and else where on social media..

[Last time I was this annoyed with the conduct of  organisation, it made centre pages of the Mail On Sunday. and I even ended up with an additional reporting credit - my wife was amused, I'm IT manger from Oxfordshire)
