@MancunianStacker Looking at prices I will try wait for some 70's to come back to hopefully lower market price. Bit of FOMO for me with these ones. Really like the design now.

Tomorrow is 21 Feb. The 7th anniversary of the signing of the political settlement following the Maidan revolution in Ukraine.
Note the date…It’s essentially when Russia lost their puppet leader in the Ukraine.
I suspect tomorrow will be v interesting.

Did everyone send these for grading then? I really wanted a 1oz silver but never really seen many get flipped?

When I saw this I thought it reminds me of something... Then it struck me, Mr Burns from the Simpsons when he was mistaken for an alien.

I think RM are waiting for suggestions on this thread. I’m guessing though it will be portraits not animals and “arms”. 🤷♂️

AI could easily solve this, they don’t want to.

Ends tonight see what it ends at
Saw a 2oz gold jubilee go well below RRP/ list last night on feebay
And then they'd have 10%+ fees and commission to deduct on top

Notably, another review includes a similar sentiment on numbers over quality:
So maybe one way of effecting a positive and lasting change would be to remove the numbered QC sticker when you return anything.
It would force them to consider the process as a whole rather than blaming an individual and not actually solving what appears to be the root cause of it all.
You could argue that it might avoid a truly bad employee from being identified, but I believe they should handle that by doing QC on their own QC (e.g. by double checking random samples) rather than relying on us to do it.

Correct. The COA numbers have no correlation to the order of mintage. It’s possible that the lowest number COA is assigned to one of the last coins minted.

Total shame mucker. I don't think I could keep it like that tbh.

So I have just opened mine and can also say I’m not overly impressed.
it looks like the unicorn on mine has undergone a triple bypass operation. It’s really noticeable even from the naked eye
Also, the plain edge of the coin is scuffed and the cardboard protective box has a disfigured tab meaning I can’t close it properly.
The reverse looks to be fine and so does the rest of the fields / detail on the obverse. So it’s a real shame the damage is on such a central part…
What are your thoughts on this? Return or keep, not sure I can be bothered with the hassle just to get a refund

I agree 100%.
They have the monopoly in UK. They sell and we buy.
The RM doesn’t get it wrong all of the time but sometimes they do. However is it a case of those who are happy with their order don’t often share that.
We all know an unhappy customer is statistically more likely to leave a review than a happy one.

It’s pretty obvious that the workers care about quality, but management wants nothing more than to just push these coins out the door. Nothing will change because they are the only game in town and we will keep buying. So they sell and we buy. What’s the incentive for them to improve? Nothing! Costs of returns are minuscule when dealing with their volume.

Mmm, interesting point. I did ask the how can they replace a struck on the day & I asked if they'd struck more on the day than were required, for the inevitable requests for replacements. I've asked for a replacement...we shall see

Oh dear, looks like Queenie's been glassed, off back to RM it goes - had a lovely chat with same lady I used for my previous return
Surely RM must question the expense of all the returns they have to pay for.

Yeah they are!
I was a bit unsure about this series initially.
I think the low mintage has got it off to a good start.
Henry VII still hasn't grown enough on me yet, but there is definitely something about it.
It also looks to be doing well on the secondary market too.
I am definitely in on the 1oz and 2oz silvers in this series, which together cost a little more than a 2oz silver great engravers.
Hopefully they keep the mintages low
