You are not going to stop this divide of opinion.I am sure it will be debated many more times in the future. as it’s becoming more of an issue.
 I would hate to see the day where you could only buy graded from the mint / dealers and I fear that’s the direction we are travelling.  Some no doubt will say, you could just break free any coin you purchase. My answer to this is it’s an added expense and hassle. 

In an age where everything is going digital, I think this takes a physical product another step away from its tangible beauty.  I only received my first “slabbed” coin this year and although not as ugly as I had envisioned, I would say slabbed is indeed an apt description. 
I do however take on board your points and many more being made, quality control being a biggie, each to their own. As stated, I will consider grading in the future if looking to move coins on and think it  worthwhile.😄
Incidentally, I believe the expression you are looking for is sought-after.

Doesn’t stop a person from having an opinion on the relative new “business” of grading. For me, I think it is a pile o s****. However will not stop me from exploiting, if there comes a time when I want to sell. 
Did u not post about breaking out coins from grading holders in the past or is my memory failing? 

Why some of you want to take these coins out of their lovely display boxes and stick them in a bit of plastic is beyond me.
Can't you just leave them in their original state, never knowing or really caring if they are PF69 or PF70

Yeah , they are quite good at taking funds promptly funnily enough. Certainly within a day or two at most in my experience. . 

Yeah, if still in open orders not been dispatched yet. I’m expecting helicopter delivery given the premium charged.😁

Well, I paid their price and I got the Print from the Royal Mint separately.
I really wanted the 5 Sov so it had to be done. 

Keep it “raw” and if there comes a time to sell, have a look at the price difference between graded or not and decide from there. That’s my intention anyway. 
 
Incidentally, can you join the queue and be our lucky mascot for the next great engravers release?👍😄

For the record, mine will stay in original display box until it’s time to move them on. A good few years yet. 

Had to raid my Mrs pillowcase for a few £50 notes to get the set but i think it was worth it, obviously she did not agree !

I heard that a well-known dealer had an important delivery earlier today.

My set will be not be going for grading, personally i prefer the sets to remain in thier original case / box. 
They may be worth more in a 70 grade but they just look so good in their walnut case.
 

I really wish they had done the Great Engravers in 1 Oz gold, and the same for this new series, if that’s what it is.
The 2 oz is a killer for the pockets. 

I think this will be a new series, damn you RM, not got deep enough pockets.  . I think this will do well. 

Yes, we looked at the colours a few times today, and I think their colour processing made them look even worse than they actually are.
We are aiming to recreate a better version of the shot, to demonstrate how it could have been done. 🙂
