Started stacking current year sovereigns and 1oz CGT free coins when I had spare money at the end of the month, as a way to store wealth outside of the system and to save a bit more for retirement
Moved to doing date runs on sovereigns and selling most of my 1oz coins, Brits & Krugs and only keeping anything what I loved.  Currently concentrating on pre-1900 sovereigns, full and half but will also buy anything that is well priced if I don't already have it.  Exception being special year sovereigns and Gillicks, which I tend to stack then sell on when I need to fund a bigger purchase and I don't have the cash
I also moved from storing in a mates safe to an insured safety deposit box and had my own safe installed for anything I buy between runs to storage as it is 40 minutes away
Now realised I am hooked, but justify it to myself as its just turning money into different money.  And if I didn't do it I would be buying a new iPhone every year, new gaming PC components, new metal detecting gear etc. etc.  Since I started I don't waste money on those things, I only replace what is broken and I feel better for it.  I reckon I have put a fair bit of cash into PM's that otherwise would have gone on what are essentially consumables

Today I paid £40.96 for this 2022 sovereign from Costco. Well, if you ignore the food purchases but include the 2% cashback rewards that I built up over the last year that went towards it, this makes it the cheapest sovereign I've ever bought. 😄

Hadn't bought anything for a while, had itchy fingers over the weekend and saw Atkinsons had pre owned 1oz silver bars. I quite like a wee bar  so thought I'd take a punt for £28 and see what I get.
    This is what I got...

Could have been worse, was never going to be a nice Pamp, but still happy enough. Itch scratched for a while...

2022 Bullion Double Ronseal   This attractive example arrived today, courtesy of@ChardsCoinandBullionDealer. "Minty +" grade.   Tidy coin but unsurprisingly, imo, it pales in comparison to the proof sovs and 2015 au £1 coins. One for the stack. @trp   With a premium lower than that of any other dealers on single sovs this was a straightforward decision given the paucity of offer on TSF at the time.   The process from@LawrenceChard& co. was straightforward, efficient, polite and swift. Thoroughly professional - a company I would be happy to recommend.   Addendum: Free postage would have been nice..

Early 1oz Silver Libertads - Bargain    Anybody looking to start collecting Mexican silver - or just after superb value early Libertads - will probably have a good wait ahead of them if looking to better the current offering from@AgD.   I picked up four, hoping to find at least one '86 to add to my Tad collection. All four were in superb condition and nigh on BU. At £30 each this is outstanding.   I believe he has only a few left.   Should anybody have an '87 or '88 Tad they are looking to offload, please send me a DM.

    Hi all,
Not really a silver meme but relating to taxes, I thought I'll share as just seen it and made me wonder and cry inside.
    "The Tax Poem
Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table at which he's fed.
Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes are the rule.
Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts anyway!
Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work, Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he tries to think.
Tax his cigars, Tax his beers, If he cries tax his tears.
Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways to tax his ass.
Tax all he has, Then let him know, That you won't be done till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers, Then tax him some more, Tax him till he's good and sore.
Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in which he's laid.
Put these words Upon his tomb, 'Taxes drove me to my doom...'
When he's gone, Do not relax, Its time to apply the inheritance tax".
    😭
