Seething having just put the phone down on an obnoxious creature at Lloyds bank. Was trying to pay Fadeinstar on here for one of his Sigma machines.
Went alright told all was hunky dory until I get a message saying ring us. So ring them they are not happy to whom I am trying to pay the money.
Talk about the third degree treating me like a halfwit. What am I buying  am not telling you, no did not like that reply nor a lot of others I gave him.
I would put in a complaint but as our conversation ended with me telling him to f off might not be the best way. I should not have said that to him but
having spent about 30 minutes on the phone to him  I had had enough.
Rant over going for a drink.

Had a new bullion memorial double this morning, an interesting side by side with the jubilee version below,
The double does the design much more justice than the full/half, I am quite taken with it

Hello all!
For a while I have been trying to create a patina on a couple of silver QBs - partly because they were already tarnished, but mostly because I have always wanted to try it!
I wanted to avoid cutting corners by using Liver of Sulphur, so thought I would try a semi-natural/semi-artificial method. I did this by wrapping them in highly sulphurous paper and packing material for about 18 months, and regularly changing it every 1-2 months.
Full disclosure: I definitely cheated by 'sulphurizing' the packing material for several days prior to repacking the coins!
I am by no means an expert, but I am rather pleased with the results and thought it would be fun to show them off.

Under a more natural light, they have a rather impressive bronze/amber look to them:

 

 
In natural sunlight they are quite glorious to look at - almost like they are carved out of wood!

Woo hoo on Sunday I did my first purchase here on The SilverForum and a very good experience it was too. And Monday this week @brnlx639 sent to me not one, not two, but three lovely Gillicks dated '66,'67,'68. And very nice they are too, all glittery and golden and in the exact condition described. 
Here are some pix, albeit iPhone specials. I didn't have time to get arty and get my proper camera out. But the pix do show off the lovely sovereigns and their lovely golden glow.
