If the Muslim community want to collect this I say more power to them, but it’s a hard pass for me.

Hmm, was expecting something more exciting. I get your reasoning but this is a hard pass from me.
My opinion, worth 2% over spot on the 2nd hand market.

This product isn’t aimed at gold collectors but rather at gamers which there are a heck of a lot more of. Hence the included in-game weapon charm code. COD has a massive following world wide. That’s the reason for the greater mintage for this product compared to the Wonka bar. If I were to guess it will sellout quickly and is very likely to increase in value. Not due to pm collectors but due to game paraphernalia collectors. It’s best left sealed and untouched in its box if purchased as an investment.

However compelling your endorsement may sound, I’m reluctant to become a paying member given i reside in the EU and can’t be bothered with the hassle of purchasing overseas. The hassle of dealing with customs, having to file for tax and duties returns, the relatively long delivery periods, high shipping fees, the stress of stuff getting lost or stolen let alone having to sort things out if anything goes wrong and I need to recoup my funds or need to return stuff due to goods not being up to specs or stressing about authenticity are all hassles I can do without. I’m a collector first and a stacker second. Peace of mind is worth the extra cost to me. I’m very finicky about the stuff I buy and demand that quality is on par with the price I pay. And if not so, I simply return the stuff for an exchange or refund. Besides buying from established dealers in the EU guarantees that products are legit. I sleep good at night having no worries about counterfeits. Had I lived in the UK I would signup in a heartbeat. I enjoy this forum and the interaction with likeminded people. But all things considered I don’t see the appeal as of yet. My honest 2 cents. To each their own.

Can you buy a car without any I.D, drive it away without taxing the car, or notify the DVLA of change of ownership.

For all we know the previous owner might have been single with no next of kin. The most recent coin of the stash was dated 2018. Perhaps the original owner succumbed to Covid. Perhaps they severed ties with all family members. Court appointed curators step in and everything gets catalogued and subsequently auctioned off.
It’s no different than people that make a living out of participating in storage locker auctions whose owners defaulted on their payments for whatever reason, which sometimes turnout to have a fortune in valuables. It’s just the luck of the draw.

I received my replacement coin today. Let’s just say it won’t fetch a MS70 grade but it is a heck of a lot better than the previous monstrosity they sent me. All in all I’m pleased with the outcome.

The dealer replied today apologizing for the inconvenience and honoring my request for a replacement. They also included a prepaid return label. Now that’s good service. Now let’s just hope the replacement is in better shape than the coin I’m returning.

It all has to do with supply and demand. The queens beasts series is extremely popular and therefore command a premium. Perhaps readily available in the UK but not so in other parts of the world. A lot of UK dealers and forum sellers won’t ship goods abroad. And then there is the hassle with taxes, clearance fees, authenticity, insurance etc etc. It’s not uncommon for stuff to get tied up for over a month at customs. I’ve imported gold before and recouping duties and taxes can be quite tedious. I’ve been monitoring the supply of these coins at the dealer I bought it from, and they’ve been steadily dropping over the course of last month. So apparently there is demand and they are selling. Collectors will pay whatever they deem is fair. 20% premium may seem like a lot, but it’s all relative.
