I cannot remember who posted about BBP having stock of the 1/4oz Coronation Proof, but Thank you😁. I was looking for it to add to my Proof Coronation collection but was not going to pay the flippers premium. Flea-Bay is rife with overpriced ones. Got it for under RM retail (yep, from BBP)so bought the 1/4 Cypher to make sure it wasn’t lonely for the postal journey. When I bought it they went straight out of stock so obviously only had a few. Happy Bunny.
1/40, 1/4, Sovereign and 1oz. My work here is done.I posted it a few days ago! they also had the 2oz silver proof that time! Your very welcome! enjoy your coin!

The odds are though that the sales they make from all of these releases exceed the money they lose via QC returns/replacements. I would say that it is likely a calculated decision for the business which honestly makes it worse as it means that an element of that strategy is to just sell off their reputation for short-term gain.
well said!

The perfect examples are going of £1500/£1600. What would the flawed ones go for? I’m just fed up with the royal mint might just sell all my sotd’s and get bullion
Agree on that I may sell my proof coins and get bullions! I am so disappointed since I got my SOTD. i like the coin itself I am just fed up with RM quality on proofs!

I know that there are some lucky folks that always get a perfect coin, but RM killed the joy of collecting premium coins for me after the SOTD release.
A flawed one might go for anything between £1000-1200 I would say.
I am having the same feelings currently!

Mine too - lots of little black marks, a bit scruffy generally.
at this point I do not think they properly check them just put the sticker in it and that is it. Also I tried to brush it off and it is not a micro fiber or anything like that!

SOTD has arrived - mark on centre right of portrait side FFS
Visible to the naked eye clearly without magnification
QC sticker inside as checked
My first issue with RM for quality ive been lucky thus far until now.
What do folk think? shall i return or keep?
Surely a "strike on the day" cant be restruck for a replacement on another day ?
Would i just get a refund ???? and lose the chance of this coin - thanks
I just received my SOTD sovereign and I have the same dilemma. Under my magnifier both side of the coins is full of little dots.

very good price for them as graded!

The money for my SOTD was taken from my Bank Account on the 29th and has not been returned to me, and is in my open orders page.
Yeah It is a bit weird how RM is dealing with this payment being taken or not etc.... God knows what it depends on.

Little update on this. I emailed them yesterday and got answer today saying this:
I can see that your order The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III 2023 Celebration Sovereign Is still in place on your account if
the money has re-appeared in your account please give us a call so we can retake the payment so you dont lose your order.
I call them this morning and I was told that the payment would be taken again when the coin becomes available. no further action needed.

Check your emails. I bagged one on monday too. Got an email on Wednesday from the RM to say my order had been cancelled. I rang them and they confirmed this. I did notice that theyd only taken £9 from my account for postage but not tge balance.
Checking my bank this week, it was saying payment pending. Then Thursday evening, the money was back in my account 🤨
Best thing to do is give them a ring on Tuesday armed with your account number and order number.
They will confirm weather you are in or out.
i did not get any email from them and my order is in progress!

If you have the coin in "open orders" in your royal mint account, then nothing to worry about. It's normal for the payment to drop off again until closer to dispatch. When I say normal I mean normal for RM order's at least.
I hope that You are right! Lets see finger crossed! thank you for your comment
