Don't forget Tavex charge £5 postage.  It's only £455 direct from the RM currently, with free postage on bullion orders.  Atkinsons are only about £1.50 cheaper.

Out of interest, has anyone on here found a previously unknown fake sovereign using a Sigma?  I get that it's for peace of mind, but doesn't actually pay for itself unless you've received and returned two and a half fake sovereigns at current rates.

Bleyer include free capsules with theirs.  Opinions vary on here but I prefer that over the soft slips covered in advertising from Atkinson's.

Having said that, I pre-ordered the '23 sov from Bleyer and it took much longer to arrive than the ones other members ordered from Atkinson's.

Still undecided who I'm going to order the '24 from currently... 🤔

Received mine yesterday.  2x 1g bars and the free 50p.  Pleasantly surprised with the Xmas bar tbh, design is still clear despite being a small bar.

Thanks for the offer Bri.  That is more than I was willing to pay at the moment. 

I had not realised the 2012 half was so rare to demand a considerable premium over other special half's.  (Having just checked Numista, I realise the scale of my error!)

I may consider a full 2012 next year instead, but don't have the budget for one this week.

Yes.  My bars order is still in progress as well.  Although I ordered mine late in the evening.  So if they're being packed & dispatched in time order that might explain it.

Ah!  Earlier in the thread I mentioned my RMBF bullion order wasn't showing in the order list.  Didn't realise there were separate lists.  Just checked and it is indeed showing on there.  Should be dispatched today.

I didn't ask for one so would assume they're sending them to all customers who have already received the bars.

Having a weird experience with my Friday RM purchases.

Initially bought a couple of bullion items with small discount before seeing this thread.

Later in the evening I went back to order a couple of 1g bars and the free 50p (lol)...

Immediately received a confirmation email from the bars order.  And it also shows in TCB and on the orders page on RM.

However, the earlier bullion order doesn't seem visible anywhere.  No email, doesn't show on TCB, doesn't show on RM orders page.  Money has been taken from my bank account though.  

Any idea what's happened there?  As I say, it's the correctly discounted order that's missing, not the questionable discount on the bars order. 🤔

Had planned to round off my year of collecting 1/4oz's with a basic Brit in November.  Obviously wasn't expecting the spot price increase.

Has anyone got one they could let go for £420 or less?  No rush but must be this year and must be in 'collectable' condition. 

No problem if not, will just keep checking Atkinsons in the hope that theirs drop below that again! 🧐

Shirley Bassey proof was the only one in 2023.  No bullion as far as I'm aware.

I do have Elton, Bowie, Queen & The Who in bullion.  Plus Elton & Bowie coloured proof.

Opened this thread fully expecting to see a 10oz with Shakespeare's portrait...  Disappointed to see it was just a typo. 😄

I'd be very surprised if you get your money back from them now.  I never received any more contact from them.

They prevented any comments being added to their latest Facebook post but if you check 'all comments' on the one below that you can see just how many customers they've been doing this to over the last couple of years...and that's only the ones that are vocal on social media, the real number will be much higher.  I'm struggling to believe that this is a 'technical issue' any more.

I did get my money back eventually through my bank.  It wasn't easy due to the length of time TCM had strung me along (which I now believe is part of their scam).  The best suggestion I can offer you and anyone else reading this is to start a refund request through your bank and never buy anything else from TCM.  I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but this has gone way too far now.

I find 1/4oz or full Sov's to be a nice size & weight personally.  Guess it depends what each person is used to though.

How is the holographic design produced?  Is it likely to get damaged over time?

They do look interesting but personally not something I'd pay extra for.
