I've got a milky KC3 cypher - must have happened within just days/weeks of minting! And a Philharmonic that went milky in storage.
I am a bit of a perfectionist and don't like milk spots or toning, so have shifted more towards gold now. (Just waiting until I end up with a copper spot on one of those lol...)

Hi stacker I new to this forum and stacking to be truthful, am I being thick as it says QE2 memorial set and KC 111 coins it doesn’t seem to match ?
The memorial design on the front is in memory of QE2. The reigning monarch pictured on the reverse is KC3. 🙂

I treated myself the 1oz silver panther but wasn't impressed with it in hand so didn't buy any more. Think it's the 'aggressive' look...not a fan of the lion either. Also went off boxed proofs pretty quickly as I started collecting PM's due to limited storage space!
The Yale looks a bit more daft though, I'd be tempted by a loose one of those in 1/4oz gold at the right price. 😁

I think some items on here are struggling to sell as most people have lower budgets currently and are having to be more choosy about which items they buy. Brit's are a bit boring! (Sorry lol...)
I know there are a few 'hoover' members, but they have the budget for larger items with lower premiums.
Tenths were ideal for those of us with limited budgets, but the premium on tenths seems to have shot up lately...so much so that BBP is now competitive!
I agree that you're probably better off trying to sell these on eBay if you've got reduced fee's this weekend.

This is the cheapest I've seen for the silver today, including postage.
Thanks. That's even better. I'm often surprised how no single retailer is ever cheapest on every item, always have to check them all before committing!
I will buy a 1oz silver at some point, so if anyone spots a better deal at any point, feel free to share it.

Around £35 for 1oz silver in OMP seems ok. Don't think I'll need to make a quick purchase with a 70k mintage limit though... 😄

Where did you find those pictures? I signed up for the email alert but haven't heard anything so far. 😐
The design does look a bit plain, will all depend on price for me now.

I could be interested in the Mr Men on it's own depending on price? Don't have the budget for two quarters together unfortunately.

I bought a gold tenth proof Brit from my birth year on eBay. Came in original box with COA. Very good price (same as bullion) so wasn't too bothered about whether it was a genuine proof or not. When I received it, I noticed the cap hadn't been screwed together properly. Thought I'd just unscrew it to realign it, but with the lightest touch the cap opened, the coin dropped out, bounced down my jeans and ended up on the floor. Marvellous... 😄
My biggest PM regret is probably buying brand new silver Proofs from the RM. I always seem to be disappointed with them. Nothing particularly 'wrong' with them, just don't feel like they're worth 5 times the intrinsic value when I get them in hand.
I did start buying PM's on BBP before I realised there were cheaper places for exactly the same item. But I don't class that as a regret, was part of the learning curve. 🙂

bump ? give me your 1/4 oz brits KC will do ....
If you're happy with a 1/4oz KC3, they are still cheapest on the Royal Mint website currently. Around £420 with free postage at time of posting.
Both Bleyer and Atkinsons are more expensive.
I'm after one myself, but rather frustratingly can't have SD deliveries at my address and RM won't allow an alternative address at that price point.

@Minted When you had the tx refund, was that for just VAT or both VAT & duty?
Just VAT. I was only charged VAT on this parcel, no duty. I didn't know which I'd been charged when I started this thread, but it was itemised on the label when it arrived.
I now believe duty is mainly for things like cigarettes and alcohol but could be wrong there.

My experience in PCGS slabs is not relevant, but both your coins look in pictures as should be, 100% legit for my eyes. The only Kennedy halves fakes I have seen were visually different and physically magnetic.
I think these two coins are genuine and were graded in different years, hence the difference in appearance of slabs and colours. The first slab look new and modern, the second one I think it is older.
Thank you. That makes sense! Good to know they both look genuine. 🙂

Royal Celebration KCIII Coronation Bar
in Silver
Posted
Me too. Although I doubt many people have pre-ordered them...maybe I'll be corrected on that.
I do want the blister pack as I'm only buying a single bar and have others presented that way. I'm now waiting to hear from the RM about whether theirs actually come presented as pictured or not.
I seem to remember that the Diamonds bar and Three Graces bar came presented for only the first few direct from the mint, possibly the first 6000?
