My 2oz just arrived. Looks good, frosting is even without weakness or flaw, no spot, grease or sign of cloudiness in field. This could go PF70. I've been getting 1 out of 10 from RM that I consider perfect, this is one of the perfect ones.

They finally sold out the 20z at the mint aftera week. I would more incline to compare this George and Dragon with the other homage to circulated coins such as the Gothic Crown than the The Graces or Una & Lion medallions.
In general numismatic the original George III crown has history and integrity as a currency not to be replaced by a contemporary commemorative piece that is a copy. Just like the Gothic Crown Vs the GE tribute piece.

This is my 1818 before it was graded - they are stunning coins.

I agree with your assesment. Una and the Graces both medallions were limited edition commemoratives originally and never as circulated pieces not too dissimilar to the GE series. Homages of circulation pieces tend not to do well that why I think this Pistrucci GE release is a risk and I feel would suffer more so than the Gothic Crown GE profit wise. The gold 2oz  going matt proof was a good move setting it apart from other George & Dragon gold pieces but we will see how much collectors would want to pay over RM prices for a common design.

I always fancy the gold. The Pistrucci gold 2oz is the only one of that release I would risk if I was in it for profit.

Not a royalist. I was saying in jest last year that if Charles passes before his coins officially released and RM has been selling some of the them before it gets withdrawn we might see another Edward VIII type of rarities.

I think grease is relatively common from RM these days. I'm almost certain the ezest coin dip will remove the grease.

I got a Tolkien £2 Piedfort with very low number. No frosting flaws I can see but there is some grease on the obverse so I will need to conserve it.

Got my £2 piedfort Tolkien coin. Really nice detail on the reverse. Don't usually like the two tone style of coins but this is an exception (mucky capsule though).
