Longer time readers will all know my dislike of commemorative coins generally. That's not to say I don't see why they appeal to some collectors.
It struck me a few weeks ago, particularly the bullion adverts that certain news channels have on a loop, that commemoratives might have gone one step further with the passing of the Queen.
I'm used to the tacky gimmicks and the obscure dates and events that end up on such coins, that's a given.
However, I must say I'm shocked (I don't know why) that with the Queen's death I'm no longer hearing the actual words used on the adverts but more reading their thoughts instead.
When they say "to commemorate the life of the late Queen and her service to the country..." All I'm hearing instead is, "we thought we could make a shed load of money out of her death and milk it until the cows come home".
Does anyone else find the endless commemoratives by private mints at best overkill, at worst exploiting the unwitting public by making a buck off of a death? Tasteless no?

It says on the Royal Mint website that the bullion Memorial Sovereign will be available to order in January. 
In the ‘register interest’ section.

The 2022 Bullion Sov came out on the 4th of January of this year, so around the same time in 2023, I would imagine...

Last years proof sovereign was £585, so expect it more than that given spot has increased

UPDATE...
After the seller fired a fair few emails in all directions,to the generous advice/responses on here, things have taken a very positive turn. 
Royal mail have magically located the parcel, opened it just now and confirmed its just a coin ( unless they 3D printed a new 1/2 oz gold special reverse Britannia ) I guess the being destroyed line was codswallop. Coin will be returned to seller ASAP thankfully.

What you going to want to do is phone the customer service number, the regular one. Then you will need to ask whoever answers the call for a special investigation escalation. Don't take no for an answer and just keep saying I want to escalate this and eventually they will say somebody should call you back within 4 hours. That person is more likely to be able to actually help you than any customer service representative would. You probably quote your claim reference number as well to help speed things along.
You could also have a quick Google and try and find the executives email addresses. They will hopefully reply but it's not guaranteed. But if you keep sending emails to them about this, hopefully somebody will get back to you.
My situation was a little bit different because I saw on my tracking that they were removing my item from the network and we're going to dispose it but I caught it in time. I have never had to make a single claim for anything lost within special delivery so I can't speak from experience about whether or not precious metals are covered, but from my understanding they should be.

so how come if you illegally travel from calais in france to kent in the uk you do not need id and they just throw money at you ?
how does this make any sense or are they just day trippers looking to buy gold at bairds 
 

I gave up worrying about spot price when I buy years ago, though I can be 'keener' when were in a dip and don't really sell anything in dips either.  I suspect we will see £1380-£1400 within a week and maybe as low as £1350 before Christmas.  But the dollar will take a big hit sooner or later, already rumblings in the guilt, bond and futures markets.  If gold does not hit $2000 again by the end of next year I will eat my hat.
This price dip is having some interesting ripple effects.  Highest premiums on gold I can remember seeing from most dealers, the secondary market is very overpriced (bullions sovereigns should be no more than £355 right now) with some dealers currently charging less on some items than TSF and Facebook sellers, and dealer price breaks seem to have got considerably worse over the last 2 weeks.  Dealers that offered really good breaks on larger quantities are tightening them up considerably.  I have actually seen some things for less on eBay then people are asking on TSF and Facebook - that is not a good thing to see.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I, too, have a noobish question about sovereigns. 
Is there anywhere (other than Ebay) I can find sovereigns from a specific year? I emailed several dealers but got no reply.

I'm not confident I will be getting my order anytime soon. This morning, I received the following email from Atkinson's: "The response to the launch of the 2023 UK Britannia coins has been incredible, and as a result of this the volume of orders we are currently handling has increased hugely, therefore this has delayed the speed in which we can despatch orders." Last time I will be ordering from them.

Where did you buy from? I ordered near a week ago from Atkinson's and they haven't even been dispatched yet. I paid premium as I thought I would get them quicker. Last time I'll be doing that.
